Hey all, just bought some rubicon takeoffs for my 4xe and they have this marker on the wheels. I tried using some Lysol spray and a paper towel and it didn’t come off at all. Any ideas?

My suggestion is try either rubbing alcohol (has higher alcohol content than Lysol and usually works wonders for sharpies) or maybe denatured alcohol... and if those fail, try scrubbing with some toothpaste (not gel, use the white stuff) and an old toothbrush.

Did you try wheel and rim cleaner spray with a brush? I had some marks on my tires and that stuff took it off really easily.

Try a little polish or very mild compound.

Just ask @cosine he knows!
Acetone won’t damage the clear coat on the wheels?
If there's an area on the wheel that's not seen I'd try a small spot first, acetone should do a good job FWIW, but can be pretty strong.

Acetone is basically the same as nail polish remover. It shouldn't cause any damage.

Tried WD40 and it looks like it’ll work! I didn’t have much time this morning but some of the marker did come off so I’ll just have to put in some elbow grease to fully remove it. Thanks all!
