What is the secret to getting these things out? I snapped 2 torx bits trying and I'm on the first of 4 rotors to replace today. Tried heat, pb blaster and brute force

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Too late now, but the secret is to loosen them when it's new and put some anti-seize on them.

Sometimes a shock will break a fastener loose. In this case, I'd use a steel bar about the diameter of the head, with a flat end, rest it squarely on the head so as to not deform the Torx drive, give it several good sharp smacks with a 1-2 lb hammer.

Manual impact driver.

Just make sure to get the right shaft size for your torx bit. Most of these are 5/16" shank not standard 1/4"

I stripped mine then hammered in the next size up torx bit and that worked for me.

The next challenge is finding replacement screws. I can dig for the pn if you need it.

I wasn't planning on replacing the screw. As I understand it, that's just there to make the assembly process easier. The new rotors have five holes machined into them, so I'm assuming that leaving them open isn't going to hurt anything.

My Teraflex Delta rotors don't even have accomodation for the screws. I had thought about taking them into the shop and adding them. But they are more trouble than they are worth, IMO.

This is the answer. Learned this doing the brakes on the daughter's Kia. Each rotor had a phillips head set screw. Tried for about 20 minutes with just a phillips and a hammer. Ran over to the auto parts store, grabbed a manual impact driver. Two whacks with a hammer and the set screw was out.

Make sure you have it set up to twist OUT on impact. If you don't, you'll just drive it on harder.

Was able to get the other front rotor screw loose with some heat and a few sharp blows with a hammer/ratchet extension. I will definitely pick up one of those impact drivers, because...well...tools.

Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to try the rears, as the new ones I received in the kit were not the right size. Do all JLs come with the same size rear rotors? Tying to figure out if I ordered the wrong ones or if the wrong ones were included in the kit I ordered.

I know the Rubicon rear pads are different than non Rubicon, because I ordered the non Rubicon from rock auto and had to do a return exchange to get the correct rears.

No, they are all different sizes: https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/recon-xtreme-brakes.90876/post-1895750

The rear pads were right, but the rotors are maybe 1" or so (estimate) larger in diameter than the current ones - no way they'd fit with the stock caliper bracket.
