21 with cloth and they get toasty! My steering wheel also gets very warm.

I turn them off when it gets to hot. Love this feature. Mj cj7 would get so cold...
Ha! I've never driven an MJ but I would bundle up on a cold day in Detroit before climbing into the CJ. Remember how the wind would flow up from below? Cold feet/hot knees! 🤣

I was extremely disappointed the 2024 didn’t come with cooled seats. Had them in a few cars and it is amazing
Funny story, I had a Yukon with this annoying noise coming from the back. Turns out it was because it didn’t have cooled rear seats!

I had gotten a Yukon in 2020 but it only had cooled front seats. The dog really likes a cooled seat on his belly so my wife would ride in the back and him up front with me. I wound up trading it in for a Ram with cooled rear seats so she could sit up front again. Oddly Ram has the same noise it’s just in the front now but not as loud😂

On our ‘21 JLU 80th cloth seats, the heat elements get hot AF on setting 3, and have to turn down a notch within first 5-8 minutes, scared to even remote start 😆. On my ‘21 JT with leather, setting 3 is very comfortable. Both are nice and toasty. But reading the comments, there doesn’t seem to be any consistency in the heated seats for folks.

I have a '23 with leather seats, set to come on when I start the vehicle and outside temp is 32* or lower. I like being warm, but 3 gets really hot and I usually bump it to 1 within a minute or two.

'23 with cloth seats, and the heated seats don't feel warm enough..

I tried them out plenty even before I put seat covers on (nylon) and there isn't really a difference with the seat cover on or off, just takes a little longer to get up to its "maximum" temp.

Couldn't tell ya about the heated steering wheel. It's been accidentally turned on once or twice and as soon as I notice it, I turn it off. I'm not a big fan of heated wheels, not in the mild climate where I live anyway.

Snow would pile up on the dash somehow...

I’m sure there is some variability. It’s sounds like OP’s heating element may not be working properly… (Any chance the leather is aftermarket?)

Ideal temperature Is a very subjective target to hit, and “hot AF” for one person may be “just right“ for another. My wife thinks the house is “freezing” when I think it’s T-shirt-comfortable. Her comfortable shower temp is just this side of scalding for me. I use seat heat to take the chill off, but I always lower it to low or turn it off completely within a few minutes. Hers can stay on low or medium for the whole trip.

Last year I bought a new top-trim GMC Sierra (horrible decision). I could not even tell if the seat cooling was on, even while wearing a sweaty T-shirt. Zero effect on a 30 minute drive. GM tech said “working as designed”, so I had the service writer come out to the truck with the cooling set on high. It took him about 90 seconds with his hand an inch off the seat to proclaim “I can feel it!” 😟 On the Ford Super Duty I bought to replace the GMC the seats get downright cold in just a few minutes. You don’t have to wonder if cooling is working.

We have a 2020 with cloth seats and I usually use setting 3 for about 5 minutes then go to setting 1 which I find to be very comfortable and great on my old back and bones. I will occasionally use setting 2 but drop it to 1 like I do for #3. Now my wife is a different story, 3 all the time in winter. The steering wheel is a different story, gets HOT after 4-5 minutes at which time I will shut it off.

Lowest setting I can only leaving on for a min or 2 at the most. I’d love to cut the heat down on them. 2024 wrangler
I assume all 2024 Jeeps come with the 12.3 screen. On mine you can push the seat symbol at the top right and/or left side of the radio and adjust those settings. Mine is a 392 so I'm not sure it's on all of them but it is on mine.

How hot are your heated seats getting? I got my 19 JLUR a little over a month ago and feel like the seats are lackluster in comparison to any other vehicle that I've felt. Not sure how much it matters, but they're leather. Even on level 3 they are warm at best, no matter how long they're on.

I had a 2022 Tacoma before this and I would have to turn them down after about 15 minutes because they were uncomfortably hot. After that I had a loaner Ford Edge and it was the same scenario, very hot seats, felt like it was going to burn you. That has actually been a trend I've noticed in all the Fords I've been in. Have a few friends with F150s and one has a Bronco Sport. My girlfriend had 2020 Renegade and its seats put the JL to shame too.

I don't have an IR gun so I haven't measured the temps, but I suppose I could pick up a cheap one, they're useful enough.
21 rubi with leather seats. In 0 to 20 degree temps I'm turning the seats down to 1 after a few minutes of warming up. Otherwise they'd be too hot. The steering wheel I leave on for 20 min or so on my morning commute. My only complaint with the wheel is I wished the heat was more evenly distributed around the wheel.

I have leather seats and it gets way to hot at max volume for me, same with the steering wheel if I have it on with the heat vents running and slightly hitting it

I have a ‘24 Rubicon 4xe with cloth seats. This morning I turned on the steering wheel and seat heaters (seats on “high”). After 10 minutes, I took a look at them with my thermal imaging camera and double-checked with my a BBQ grill heat gun. Both readings were within a degree of each other. The steering wheel was 92 degrees, and the seat/seat back, was at 90 degrees. Personally, I find the steering wheel comfortable, and have to turn the seats to medium after a few minutes.

24' w/ cloth seats. Seats are just warm not hot and the heated steering wheel sucks compared to my RAM HD. I'm not impressed
