How hot are your heated seats getting? I got my 19 JLUR a little over a month ago and feel like the seats are lackluster in comparison to any other vehicle that I've felt. Not sure how much it matters, but they're leather. Even on level 3 they are warm at best, no matter how long they're on.

I had a 2022 Tacoma before this and I would have to turn them down after about 15 minutes because they were uncomfortably hot. After that I had a loaner Ford Edge and it was the same scenario, very hot seats, felt like it was going to burn you. That has actually been a trend I've noticed in all the Fords I've been in. Have a few friends with F150s and one has a Bronco Sport. My girlfriend had 2020 Renegade and its seats put the JL to shame too.

I don't have an IR gun so I haven't measured the temps, but I suppose I could pick up a cheap one, they're useful enough.

I have a 20 with cloth seats. they definetly don't get hot to the point I feel they are uncomfortable, but they get warm enough for me to drive around with the doors off when it's in the 60s. I personally don't feel like mine need to get any hotter. maybe leather is different. I did notice the heated steering wheel definetly doesn't get as hot as my old Durango though. you could fry an egg on that thing.

Max 3/3 setting gets painful after 10 minutes, 2/3 is still usually too hot and 1/3 is comfortable (once it warms up).

Conversely, my steering wheel gets barely warm in comparison to an older JL rental I drove that got uncomfortably hot after just a few minutes bare handed.

None... but it pays well.
I have a 2019 with leather seats. As stated in a previous post. The default at 3 is painful, 2 is uncomfortable and 1 is good in 40° and below.

Now heated steering wheel needs a control... it hurts after 5 minutes. Only if Mopar would've used a thermister for over heating. To me there should not be a henderance with driving. Playing hot potato with steering wheel is like messing with the uconnect or texting with a soda in your lap.

I have a 2019 with leather and I have them set to come on during auto start. Unless it’s really cold, I usually have to turn them down to the first setting, but admittedly I don’t like that part of my body hot.

I need to find a way to just have them default to always on and on HI. Great on my back, getting old sucks.

I need to add cooled seats though.
I was extremely disappointed the 2024 didn’t come with cooled seats. Had them in a few cars and it is amazing

It's peculiar to me that there is a variable performance in what should be a consistent product. Three different JLs here with three different levels. The hottest seats and steering was in the 4xe.

I have three experiences with Jeep heated seats.
1) n high school, a girlfriends mom had a grand Cherokee limited and we played a game when driving it, “try to turn on the others heated seats without getting caught” is hose things got stupid hot and in the summer, you’ll be sweaty. Fun game, lord is laughs “why in the world is it so hot in here?!?”

2) my friends Jeep Cherokee. They get pretty warm

3) my ‘22 JL with cloth and setting 1 is hot enough, 2 and 3 will make me sweat

My steering wheel on the other hand, that’s weak unless the vents are blowing directly on it. I wish it got warm to keep my hands warm with top and doors off, it doesn’t work at all in that scenario.

The steering wheel can be described as "not cold".

2024 JL - After 10 minutes or less I turn the heat down to 2 then 1 after another 10 minutes. The steering wheel heats up for 10 minutes and then cools off and only the bottom is warm (It's going to go in for warranty repair).

2024 JT - Seats are the same but the steering wheel gets hot and stays hot. Almost too hot.

2024 level 3 can only be used for a short period of time to take the chill off. Once warmed up even level one is too warm. Being from North Jersey it doesn't get super cold outside so I just turn it off pretty quickly

21 with cloth and they get toasty! My steering wheel also gets very warm.

I turn them off when it gets to hot. Love this feature. Mj cj7 would get so cold...
