Koons has a Red one and the front portion of the freedom top is body color and the back black.
That's disturbing to say the least that things like this can get out of the factory in this day and age without someone noticing.

There were Rubicon’s last year coming with leather padding on one arm rest and not the other or the center console lid not being covered in leather when it should have. This happens quite frequently it seems honestly but is usually something a good dealer will take care of for you in quick fashion. When I took delivery of mine it was the first thing I did to make sure everything was included that should have been and there were no errors. Fortunately for me mine was perfect or at least perfect as far as I could tell. If I had any issues I have no doubts that Craig and Koons would have taken care of whatever issues I would have had.

Nothin for nothing, but the dealer should be looking these over before delivery.

Problem right now is those are the visible ones, what about what you can’t see.

Let’s hope Jeep doesn’t repeat the first couple years of the JK...

Pfft... There was a '17 Sahara at my dealer with a Sport sticker on the passenger fender. These bugs will never be worked out.

We saw that today and I had this thread in mind when I took a picture of it!

In a color matched hard top red Sahara my dealer received, the rear part was color matched, but the front freedom panels were black. Oops.
Someone needs to get these two to meet....

These fenders are a fail and should be redisgned for 2019/2020.

Fails:
1. 1988 Oldsmobile lenses
2. Dated/cheap plastic look, even on two tone lips
3. Actual insultingly cheap construction, If pop-off

Pluses:
1. inside lip wipe-angle
2. clearance for stock 33-35" tires

Yet another reason to don’t worry about rushing to make a purchase now let Jeep have time to get the kinks out and finish up with the JK.

Two door hasn’t even gone in the production yet and I have no problem waiting while the kinks are worked through.
Except the 2-door is being built in a different factory and will start off

Each to his own. I think they look great and from close inspection sitting right next to my JK, they are much higher quality material and construction. Have you compared them with the JK up close? I think they are better than those that came on the CJ/JY/TJ, too.

The good news is that you'll have LOTS of options in the aftermarket. Just get the black ones and swap them out when you find what you like.

Quality materials doesn't equal quality control...

I don't see where I made that comparison. I said both, not one and assuming the other. You need to read more closely.

Something tells me that one is a pre-production unit, many of which were handed out to reps. Where did you see it?
