For those of you who have made a DIY overlanding drawer storage system, how are you securing your base? If I slide out a fridge or kitchen platform the base has to be well secured. I'm not sure how I'd do that. I also switch between a summer overlanding config and a winter rear seat config. So I'd like it to be at least somewhat simple to remove.
I have a 2-door so I do have the rear seat mounts to work with but I haven't figured out a way that I'm really happy with. I'll be fine with the rest of it once I have a secure base platform that I can build on.
My biggest problem with platform bases on the market is that I don't have a subwoofer and since storage in a 2-door is always at a premium, it bothers me that I'd have to wall off that useable storage under the floor. If I made it myself I'd at least make it so you can take a drawer out and get access to it.
