I was going to mount my nautilus air horn which is the same as the Stebel above, but for some reason it’s fried, have to get a new one. I’ve also thought about those red Hellas as they’d be an easier fit. How loud are they?
That nautilus (when it worked on my old truck) was amazing, very loud and very deep.

Youtube comment from that video.

"I just installed one of these and it is getting Nowhere near the claimed 100db I tested it at 1 metre and only got a peak of 84 db which given the fact that every 10db equates to a doubling in volume my horn is 4 times less in volume as it claims to be."
Well, I already bought it so we will find out! Lol
Just need my JL first!

Any update??
Have not installed it yet.. too busy lately.
Also, still undecided if I am going to hook it up to one of the aux instead :)

Was it easy to replace the stock horn on the JLU?

Might be able to gain adequate access by just tipping the grill forward, but at that point it's basically removed anyway.

It's six or eight push-in clips along the top of the grill that you remove, give the top of the grill a tug forward to disengage it. Disconnect the camera cable and camera washer line (if so equipped) and then just lift the grill out. It has tabs along the bottom that just press into some slots.

We’re replacing my horns now! Can’t figure out how to completely disconnect the oem horn? The red button isn’t enough to fully remove it. We’ll likely cut the wire and then splice in the new one.
