I am guessing the one I linked is the new one? Thx.Looks like they had the first one deleted and made another, which is completely reasonable.

Yea I had the old link and it goes to an "Oops something went wrong" page.I am guessing the one I linked is the new one? Thx.
Yea I had the old link and it goes to an "Oops something went wrong" page.
Yea it wasnt unreasonable either. I get launching a new product and it devolves into a this product vs the other debate isnt really what you want.Thank you.
When I commented on that thread and asked specific questions about the product, I did so to help members make an informed decision. It saddens me that the response on their side was to delete.
BUT I do agree that they had every right to do so. That in and of itself gives me insight and information.
Right we don’t want any free market competition and lack of censorship around here.Yea it wasnt unreasonable either. I get launching a new product and it devolves into a this product vs the other debate isnt really what you want.
Please don’t make ASSumptions about a business you have no idea about. That being said, @Redline Tuning loves to throw around their "Made in USA" speech every time a post something. And over the last 3 years, the multiple times I've called them out, they will never post any level of proof of this. It's like that's literally their only selling point, they have a mediocre product that they state is made in the USA and is clearly a big marketing thing for them. Shoot I can't even get them to show what they assemble in their tiny little office in Ann Arbor. I'm guessing releasing that kind of information would significantly hurt their business model when people realize they're just shipping out other people's products and not assembling anything themselves.
We bring these components to our location in Ann Arbor, assemble everything and package them up to ship out to our customer. We have been in business for over 23 years have designed and developed our Hood QuickLIFT systems for over 350 different vehicles. We are the global leader in Hood lift designs and are proud to support other USA businesses in the manufacturing of our products. 80% of the Jeep Hood lift systems you see out there from other companies are direct copies of our design. So it is rather annoying to see yet ANOTHER company blatantly copy our design, manufacture it in China and sell it for less.Yea but thats not what that thread turned into with your help Terry lolRight we don’t want any free market competition and lack of censorship around here.
(side bar) As a libertarian (mostly) I am all for free speech. If someone spouts off in a manner that I wholly disagree with, It gives me the chance to decide to interact with them or not.Right we don’t want any free market competition and lack of censorship around here.
With them deleting the engagement, it told me things I am glad I now know.BUT I do agree that they had every right to do so. That in and of itself gives me insight and information
Damn, and it only took you 3 years to give that answer!!Please don’t make ASSumptions about a business you have no idea about.
As with most companies, we do not manufacture components, but design them in house, create drawings and then rely on suppliers who are experts in their field to manufacture them to our drawings/specifications.
We do not manufacture our gas springs in house, rather we have a Gas Spring supplier in New York state. Our mounting hardware (brackets) are manufactured for us locally here in Michigan, the backing plate insert for our hood brackets is stamped in Illinois, our vinyl sleeves that we ship our gas springs in are manufactured in Massachusetts and the shipping tubes that we ship our product in are made in Wisconsin. So YES, our products are ACTUALLY made in the USA.We bring these components to our location in Ann Arbor, assemble everything and package them up to ship out to our customer. We have been in business for over 23 years have designed and developed our Hood QuickLIFT systems for over 350 different vehicles. The benefits of our products:
At the end of the day customers can buy whatever product they want, we only want to inform consumers why our product is better.
- 100% Made in the USA
- 4 or 5 year warranty PLUS vs. ELITE
- Our Mounting hardware is zinc plated and then powder coated so even if you scratch the powder coating, they will not rust.
- The bolts we use for our hood brackets are Stainless Steel and then black oxide coated to match the Black brackets. Again, they will not rust.
- US customer support, If you ever have an issue and you call you actually talk to a person in the United States.
I would just like to say before this thread is “not open to further replies” I have no recollection of participating in such a manner.Yea but thats not what that thread turned into with your help Terry lol
For me they are hella nice when doing work under the hood and not having to lay it all the way back all the time. Quick check of the oil, coolant, and battery work/wiring.Woah things are getting heated! Not sure I understand the appeal of hood struts. Y'all just need to do more shoulder presses. Good for shoulder and physical health. Are we in a Jeep or Prius forum???
We used Stabilus on our machines at work, and they were opened and closed multiple (like 20-30) times a day. Generally lasted 18-24 months, but when you consider how much they got used, I consider them to be the benchmark for quality.Redline Tuning since November 2022 still work great with a four year warranty I believe but you pay shipping. Send them the video.
Otherwise I like Stabilus if you know the length and weight they need to support.
