Hi

Can anyone please tell me the new hood weights 2022 should be that same from 18 up but just to be clear. also what's the metal used in production?

1. JL Sport, Sport s, Willys , etc flat type weight?

2. JL rubicon double (fake) vent weight?

3. JT Mojave (fake vent) I know I need taller cowl weight?

4. JL XR vented ( is this the same as Mojave? I think its not right its real) I know I need a taller cowl etc. weight?

I am thinking about changing my flat hood to another look ( of course I am NOT adding trim badges etc, just plain)

I believe the factory hoods are aluminum as I saw a video which mentioned you couldn’t use a magnetic mount antenna on it. I Don’t actually know the weights on these though.

2. JL Rubicon: Mine is aluminum. I don't know the weight. But I have a 10a hood, which is very similar on my JKR. It is steel. I can tell when opening the hoods, that Our JLR hood is considerably lighter in weight. Plus they are both good looking hoods.

I read somewhere that the Gladiator Mojave hood is steel. Don’t know the weight.

Sport and Rubi will weigh almost the same. Mid 20 pound range if I remember right. Mojave is steel and weighs considerably more. Any reason weight is your main concern?

Thank You, I understand the Mojave is steel and they say its heavy and its listed steel on Mopar online sites but the rubicon hood is also listed as steel, so I was thinking it was the same weight.

so everything but Mojave is the same weight.........
