I don’t mind keying the lock myself. It’s like a puzzle, I have a set of locks for some doors and a gas cap I need to key I just have not got around to it. I installed the Mopar one on my ‘23 JL, it was a pretty easy install. I’ll look at the Bolt one though.

Bolt hood lock. It’s the OEM but without the mark up of mopar

Keying/coding it to the emergency door key is a piece of cake. It will only take a couple seconds to code it to the fob key.

But at least you are obviously breaking in and not casually opening the hood like you own it.

I just put the Bolt lock in our 2021 Sport S. Very easy install and I’m impressed with the quality. Keying was fast and simple. It comes with the replacement grill insert and great instructions. Get it from Amazon.

Bold lock works for me. One key for everything. You can instal it and code it by yourself. It took apx 20minutes. And ita hardly visible.

Mopar was that thing that I "coded" with those small metal things? Veeery satysfiing. Yes one key rules.

I have the Bolt. Works great but I hear it conflicts with front trail cameras. I don't have one so maybe someone can confirm or deny that.

I primarily have it to impede young & dumb shenanigans at trailheads, not professional thieves.
