I just got my hinge covers from Amazon today. I haven't looked at them in bright light, but my first impression is that they may not match the Firecracker Red. Stay tuned....

I just ordered the black ones. I think I'm going to spray them with matte clear coat so they match my fenders.

Great find! I'll be ordering these very soon! Edit....Just ordered a 4 door set in red! Great find!

Now, does anyone know if there are splash guards coming out for the Rubicon? Mopar, Weathertec, or Husky? A set of those on the front will complete the deal!
How are they holding up? my only concern would be the 3m backing is it strong enough to last the Arizona temps 118f plus with out falling off or washing the jeep and having them fall off.???

The 3M backing is VERY strong. I'm going to have to heat it up really hot to get it off. The red does not match. It is slightly darker than Firecracker, so these suckers are going back.

Bought these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DFTWYV1/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I wanted a more consistent look with my trim so I took a suggestion I read on here somewhere and got some matte clear coat spray. Did one hinge cover as a test yesterday and pretty happy with the results. Will work on spraying the rest and will post pix once I put them on the Jeep.

Before & After spray...

Looks way better! I just got a sheet of 3M film to DIY but might get these covers instead. Thanks!

I got these to protect my hinges from rock chips, having gotten a chip in the first 500 miles. I did not think much about them until some forum users asked in a different thread. So I figured I would post them here.

They are plastic, applied with 3M glue strips, so fairly easy to remove later.
I decided on the (faux) carbon fiber because if gave a bit more depth than just a glossy black. They do not cover as far in as I expected, but they should do the job of preventing the chips.
I had a friend getting in to the Jeep and thought they were an option I got with it, so they fooled him pretty close up.

again, they are just basic plastic, but I thin they will do the job very well of protecting the paint from BS rocks flying, so can have dings and dents with and actual story behind them.

They are two pieces, the main hinge, and the body lower portion of the hinge.

Probably other brands out there, but these are the ones I got and they come in Black, Red and the fake carbon fiber:

Let me know if any questions.

It doesn't say they are for for the Rubicon. The Mopar splash guards fit the Sport and Sahara, but not the Rubi. I had a set and had to send them back. I can't speak for the rears, though.

Thanks.
Splash/rock guards seem to be a great solution for the chipped Rubicon door hinge issue. Will the guards fit the Rubicon if you cut down the length of the rock rails? Is that what is keeping these guards from fitting the Rubicon?
Thanks -
Paul
