Hi guys I need some help with what diff this is on my Jl wrangler 2021. I have a leaky end seal I believe and am waiting for it to be looked at warranty wise. Can anyone help with what diff it is and what oil I can top it up with / change it . Thank you

what does your Owners Manual say?

if it’s just going to be leaking out anyway, anything that meets the spec in the manual and you can find at your FLAPS is better than letting it run low.

the only caveat would be if someone had put a gear-driven Limited Slip Dif in there; in that case you’d use what the LSD mfr wanted (likely a non-synthetic). but i’ll bet that doesn’t apply in your case.

Not enough pictured in your photos for me to ID the diff, but this might help.

Go get some Mobil 1 or Lucas synthetic diff oil and some RTV. Pull the cover, clean the surfaces and slap it back together. It takes 20 minutes.

No RTV is required. The gaskets are reusable. Check your owners manual for the lube weight. Probably 75W85 but check to make sure.
That's true, my gasket was ripped from too many diff hits when I changed mine. I have no idea why I didn't dump out all my fluid but it was still holding.
