So I ordered a set of Cavfab diff covers and will hopefully get them installed this weekend. I reached out to Cavfab on fluid quantity since their website didn't specify how much oil to use. They said they didn't have an exact amount but recommended I fill to just below the fill plug. I know these are similar to the Motobilt Covers and MB specify a quantity amount. Has anyone used Cavfab covers and how much oil did you use?

Thank you for that info. My other dilemma with not going down the rabbit hole is what brand oil to use. I've use Valvoline and Amsoil in the past, I've also seen others use Royal Purple.
That’s a whole other can of worms. The Amsoil lovers and haters should be along shortly 🤓

gear oil is gear oil.

everyone has a brand they grew up with. Valvoline was always my dads go to. I tend to go with redline or Royal purple personally.

For a sanity check when you have both diff covers off line the old and new up together and compare the fill position. Sometimes they have multiple fill holes so that the same part can be used front to rear. Sometimes the hole is just in a different position.
