What am I doing wrong? I measured my current sway bars at exactly 8 inches. I moved the ring down to the 8, but there’s not enough room to slide the second ring down.
Please help me today as I’m going wheeling tomorrow so need to install these tonight.
thank you.

mom the picture you can see there’s no more room to slide the top ring down.

Is the clip supposed to go under the nut? That's the only thing I can think of.

It looks like the mount isn’t sliding down as far as pictures and videos I’ve seen. That’s as far as I can slide it down. Others I’ve seen the mount slides down past the ring. Any ideas why it won’t slide down further?

No the setup is correct. I just don’t know why the mount won’t slide further down.

Ok never mind everyone I got it. No idea why it wasn't sliding all the way down at first, even after I put a little force. But just fenagling with it some more and it slid down all the way. Sorry for confusion, was just supper excited to put these on for tomorrow and panicked when it didn't go in first try LOL.

Glad you got it fixed. I hate that feeling of "Ugh, What is going on".

When I installed my metalcloak rear bumper I could not get it level for the life of me. I had to pry it just to get the the adjustment bolts in at all but then couldn’t move it. I struggled with it for two days, reached out to metalcloak. Talked a few times to the guy that owned the jeep used for prototyping that bumper (will I think). Couldn’t figure out what was wrong.
The next weekend I took the bumper off and put it back on. Fit just fine. 🤦‍♂️

Edit: a word

Glad you figured it out.
Just dropped in to say you will LOVE these links. I've had mine on for just over a year now and they've been flawless.
I don't miss laying in the dirt trying to line up the pin to secure my old JKS links a at all.
Two quick twists to unlock - two quick twists and a shove to lock one side down and you're off.

Fantastic product, had them on my old Sahara. Expensive, but well worth it.

Wherever these are mentioned I also suggest some sealer all the way around the snap ring to delay the rust. A little masking tape makes it easy. And my family loves the improved ride while offroad.

While on the subject:
I was unlocking the other day and, on one side, the whole mechanism turned. I was able to hold it still and unlock it no problem. Later I saw on their website that the very first item in troubleshooting is that issue. Longish story short, the body nut needed to be (re)positioned right over the ring and (re)tightened to spec. (My guess is the body nut was not tightened to spec on install.)
I mention this in case anyone has a similar issue.

I love mine, too. The JKS links were so problematic on uneven terrain to reconnect, that I stopped using them. Everyone that I've met that has the Apex loves them. Expensive, but I have no regrets.

So I finished the install that Friday night at the Home Depot parking lot LOL. My driveway isn’t very level and just in case I needed any tools I figured that was the best place.
I’m Saturday we went wheeling and really got to use it. We had an awesome time and the Apex was amazing. Had anbsolutely no rubbing or issues with the 10.5. I’m on a 3in lift with 35s on a Sport with the stock Sport fenders. under their muddy cars were definitely jealous saying I had the “fancy” end link lol. Think I convinced a couple people to get them.
