Here's the thing. As headliners go, I have no major issues. They'll do what headliners primarily do: keep a Wrangler cooler in summer.

But as advertising copy goes I have my issues. Road noise comes from many sources, anymore than any headliner's major benefit is noise abatement: it's not. : - )

I had a Hotheads headliner in my JK and I thought it helped slightly with road noise. It definitely helps with the sound system and controlling temperature. I haven’t seen the BoomMat before but, would want to see if there is an exterior material over the foam. I also installed the sound assasin sound dampening strips that Hotheads offers. I thought there product was very good. It stayed in place for the 3 years I had it. The BoomMat looks similar, but is probably much lighter being foam. Curious to if anyone that has it installed can comment.

It’s great, I have the Mopar headliners + hothead 3-piece section above sound bar add-on liner and people always comment on how quite it is in the cabin.

(That might also be the 8.4 active noise cancelling feature at work too). Regulates temperature nicely as well, never noticed any significant temperature difference between my head and feet and heating warms up very quickly during winter.

I just bought this and pick up my JLUR Saturday. So I’ll report back the findings I have once it’s installed. I have a nice 9.5 drive from Atlanta so it won’t get installed til after. Here in south Florida I felt it’s a must especially since I’ll have my daughter in the back soon. Also did ceramic window tint to keep heat minimal. It may sound extreme but it can be very hot when driving on the highway and the sun is beating down for hours.

I purchased the mopar headliners for my former JKU.. It looked nice. Other stated benefits were hard to notice. The big problem was after a year or so the glue would not hold and they would sag. More glue, double sided tape and velcro and eventually they still sagged. I'm not going to bother with another set
