I went with Cover King. I installed sound deadening first then, installed the mat with supplied double sided tape and I added Barge multi-purpose cement between the recommended tape. It made a huge difference in acoustics and hot/cold temps on the interior. I've had it installed for over a year with no issues.

I did the same and wrote a short review on here someplace if you search Coverking, I am sure you will find it. I have had mine on for over two years with zero problems. I run a soft top most of the summer, but did have it in a couple of 100 degree plus days without a problem of it sagging. It was -11 last week here in Denver and I could definetly tell the difference of warmth. Most importantly, it looks great and really help lower the outside noise. Stereo sounds really good!

I live in Denver, where the summer sun can get brutally hot and the winters can get brutally cold. My Hot Heads are great., and they have never had a problem with adhesion. Maybe try Velcro adhesion tape?

Mine and the wife's Jeeps both have Hot Heads in it. There is def a difference and they stayed up through the hot FL summer last year.

Here in Southern AZ it's well over 100 degrees most of the year and I run a hardtop half the year.

So my question is, it worth running say a hothead headliner and does the velcro really stay attached 100+ degree normal temps?
Great questions! They absolutely help in the heat (and cold). Our headliners are the only ones available with a Radiant Barrier layer, which drastically helps with regulating the temperature. You can Click Here to read further.

For the adhesive, we use a high-quality, commercial-grade 3M VHB tape with a high heat rating of over 300 degrees. We sell thousands of our headliners in the hottest states (AZ, CA, NM, TX, FL, etc.) without issue. With proper preparation and installation they should last the life of your Jeep.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at [email protected]

I live in southern AZ. I installed the Hot Heads headliner with the rear side windows on my ‘21 JLURD the summer of 2021. My observation is the headliner did make a change to the interior temps and reduced the sound level. But, the pieces for the side rear windows did not want to stay on - kept drooping. I tried different methods to no avail. So last summer I took them out. The interior roof panels have stayed put with no problems.

I keep the hard top on year round.
I should have mentioned this was exactly my experience too, but the side rear window pieces are just cosmetic. In any event, the velcro back there stayed attached to the hardtop side for me, the two Velcro pieces just don't stay together for some weird reason.
Same experience here as well with the side rear windows. I live in SW Ohio where we rarely see 100 degrees, but consistent 80s and 90s through the summer months. I suspect the side pieces won't stay attached in any environment.
I'm very sorry you're experiencing issues. The Velcro should say adhered for the Rear Side Window panels, even in high heat. I'm not sure what the issue is but we do have a very low failure rate (<1%). Please email us at [email protected] and we'll gladly get this corrected for you!

It gets hot here in Texas and I have had no problems with the velco. I do recommend the 3M adhesion promoter before attaching the velco.

The Willys has been murdered out with fresh 5% ceramic rear tint, ceramic windshield tint (free deal with new mopar glass) and 15% ceramic driver/passenger and today it hit only 80 degrees and yep, it's microwave hot inside of course due to the top.

Here in Southern AZ it's well over 100 degrees most of the year and I run a hardtop half the year.

So my question is, it worth running say a hothead headliner and does the velcro really stay attached 100+ degree normal temps? Your feedback on this subject is greatly appreciated!

I just got a 2024 Rubicon JLU hardtop with the factory/Mopar headliner setup, even the sides in the back. (I had a 2020 Willys JLU hardtop WITHOUT headliner previously. I've lived in Houston, TX for 30+ years)

I've had the Rubicon now for 3 weeks in this admittedly slightly hotter than usual Houston Spring/Summer.... but trust me it gets similarly hot and humid here every year....and honestly, for me, I cant see any difference in temperature reduction OR noise reduction inside. And I have the luxury of parking under an awning every day at work. I tried to negotiate the price of the headliner set off when I was buying because I had my doubts already, ha, no such luck!

I am still considering the OEM Completion kit from Hothead, just for completion sake, but I am not entirely convinced that alone will make the difference in either.

Just my two cents.

Much appreciated on the honest opinion @soonerpa .... Its been a week of nearly 110 and the ac blows ice cold but damn, the cabin on the 2 door is hot 75% of the 25 min drive home from work. I thought maybe the hothead would do some good. I think auto start might be the best way to go after your take... thanks

This is Mike with JTopsUSA / Coverking. Thanks for the feedback and the pics.

Glad to hear the sound deadening plus our TopLiner helped with the sound and temps.
