Samples were shipped out yesterday.

Keep in mind that this is to be used with activating a relay to control another circuit. Not to power a higher amperage circuit.

Think it's really cool that KC made up some prototypes like this. Hope they'll eventually add it as a regular product in their line-up.

And if so, just a suggestion to maybe use some loom or wrap to give it a stealth/OEM look. Not exactly sure what it's called, but I guess it wouldn't be hard for us to find some of that black adhesive high-temp tape that's wrapped around factory wires in the engine bay.

Looks like STEDI UK is back to taking pre-orders (2 to 3 weeks) for theirs. The $62 including standard shipping really isn't horrible, but now I'm kinda wondering if there's any possibility that the EU and US headlamps might be wired differently? Sure looks like their harness is a bit different than the KC version (appears to only have a single ground and combined power as output versus the 5 leads on the KC harness). Or maybe there's a difference between the JL/JT halogen and LED plugs? STEDI specifically states theirs is for the factory LED lamps, but that honestly just seems like a massive waste of time and money for Jeep to use different headlight harnesses.

I received the plug & play pigtail day before yesterday. Actually one of their engineers here in Phoenix dropped it off. Well made for a prototype, I have a 30 amp relay already for use.

As I looked at the sticker it brought back memories. In the 70's I was in my 20's. It seemed like most people that had lights on their Jeeps or trucks had The big black and yellow KC covers.
KC was very popular, maybe one of a very few that offered lights in the 70's!
This will free up one of my aux switches. Anytime I want the forward facing LED's on I'll want the high beams as well. So much possibility with three triggers!

Glad you got to meet Adriaan. He is a good guy. He made up all of these harnesses. We are based out of Williams/Flagstaff but we have a couple of engineers in the Phoenix area.

My guess is they are only using the high beam for a trigger.
The KC tap has three triggers, much more possibility!

KC: I think you’ll sell the heck out of these things!! Thanks again for doing this, for all of us.

Btw I just paid $160 for two harnesses for the rear taillights of my GFs Yukon Denali so I could tap the reverse lights, and ground. These waterproof plug and plug solutions are brilliant. There is a lot of profit to be had, as we are happy to pay for the convenience.

Funny, I had a similar flashback when I saw the sticker that came with my harness. For me, it was a callback to RC cars I built as a kid; "KC Daylighter" smiley face decals were a favorite because the big boys had the real thing.

Shout out to @KC HiLiTES and team for sending me out my piggyback kit. I installed it last night and it works flawlessly!!! Seriously guys - thank you!

Now, for a self disclaimer - I'm an idiot and didn't take any pictures. . . (in my defense I was in a crazy rush, but still. . . ) But, here's what I did - just visualize it -
1) I cut off the 3 butt connectors.
2) I ran some heat shrink over all three wires (same as @AFD idea).
3) I added a 3 pin Deutsch Connector to it with all 3 wires that I then ran up to my added relay / fuse box. (I wedged a relay box in beside my battery to control my lights.)
4) I tapped into the high beam wire. But, I have the other two wires available should I need them down the road without opening the headlight area back up.
5) I also slid a (big) piece of heat shrink over the main wire loom just to hold the entire thing together, protect against rubbing, and because I'm anal.

Things that worked great: The whole thing - thanks again @KC HiLiTES !!!! Super easy plug and play. Love it! Also love that you give me all three lights (low beam, parking, and high beam) to tap into right off the bat!

Things I'd suggest: Heat wrap or wire loom it. Add 3 feet (maybe 4) of wire whip to it. That will likely get anyone as far as they need to go without having to put a plug in down at the headlight like I added.

I'd absolutely pay $30-50 for this to avoid cutting into my factory harness! I'd suggest:
- one for tapping into the rear tail backup lights
- one for the fog lights and blinkers

I'll try to do a complete write-up on my install as I think it came out pretty cool. I have a lot of stuff wedged into a small space at this point between my winch relay, offroad relay, and connectors for my Aux wiring. Sorry again about no picture. . . hopefully you all followed along - but I deserve any smart ass remarks. . . .

PS: added a picture of my relay box which I added. I ran the piggyback up to it to trigger one of my relays.

Thanks to @KC HiLiTES I can now really light up the road! This plug and play harness is great. I took pictures and submitted a post detailing the install in this thread:

Great, thank you for the feed back. I will get this over to our team for review.

Finally got my KC prototype harness installed (only testing it, haven't wired lights yet). Works!

The passenger side isn't really a tight fit for the harness, but it's a tight work area - at least with an AEV snorkel and hands the size of mine. I used a Christmas tree clip puller to help get everything lined up and plugged. The process only took a few minutes.

A little red, white, and blue + ground:

I'll probably remove it to cloth tape it, then reinstall. And, I'll likely clip off the butt connectors and add marine grade spade connectors for a relay.

Thanks @KC HiLiTES! I'll update when I wire a relay and lights.
