Going to put on my tinfoil hat and say someone could still locate/disable my Jeep. Look at everything else being cyber attacked these days. Zero day exploits, etc.
I'll just physically disconnect it.

It may not work on my end but they apparently can still control the vehicle and track it from their end. Even though I did not continue my SiriusXM Guardian subscription after the free trial when I bought my GC 3 years ago, I still get monthly email updates that show the current oil life, the psi of each tire and more. I imagine it is the same for the JL.

My Sport with the base radio experiences temporal phenomema - several times the clock has reset itself to 12:00 and it continually loses minutes. I have yet to discuss this with the dealer - really hate to ruin a perfect record of never taking it to the dealer for anything. I think it is joining the ranks with my Datsun Z (they never had dependable clocks-the first question from a knowledgeble person about the car is "Does the clock work?). If, perchance, I take the Jeep to the dealer I will address the clock situation.

My JL lost time from the day I bought it. I took it in to the dealer for a few issues, including the clock.
They replaced the unit that includes the radio... still loses time. The next time I went in I mentioned it, they wrote it down, serviced the car, and the clock still loses many minutes each day. I don't even look at the clock anymore. The Jeeps warranty is up now, so I suppose the clock will stay that way. If I were to take it in now to get fixed, they would charge me hundreds (thousands?)! What gets me is that my very cheap microwave, my fridge, and my extraordinarily cheap garden sprinkler all keep perfect time. But not a thing that costs tens of thousands. The 99c store sells clocks that work.

I read today, on another forum (JeepGladiatorForum.com), that there is now a software update that is supposed to fix the issue. On that forum, some people have reported that the update can brick the radio. Confidence in Jeep's skills is declining.

My wife's 2018 GC has this same issue, it seems to have started when I had both batteries disconnected for a period of time. It's off by 10 minutes utilizing the GPS sync, so I set it manually. Guess we'll see what happens now.
