I asked and railroad crew gave me a 12 inch piece of rail (I wanted an anvil). When I picked it up I found out what grade 75 rail meant - the one foot piece weighs seventy-five pounds.
First day on the 106 recoilless rifle range, a wooden ammo box was set about 20 feet behind the gun. We were told to watch the ammo box when the gun was fired. The ammo box was just gone! Now, they said "do not walk behind the guns." Point made.
