Victory is mine!! I have identified the whistle source!!! It's the driver side door seal. Below is an image of a very small section that seems slight protruded. Without tape...high pitched whistle torture....with tape...whimsical silence. I'm hoping the dealer can reset or replace my driver side door seal. @JeepCares can you help make sure that happens on thursday?

Hi kylefischbach,
We can certainly make sure the proper teams get in contact with your dealership. However, we do believe that just updating your dealer that this is where you found the noise coming from will be beneficial. We can work on notating this for you as well. Please send us a private message with your VIN, phone number, current mileage and servicing dealer - if you have not already.

Drove a Sahara and rubicon and both hard tops had this wind buffering sound, similar to driving with the moonroof open and no doors so it has that slight hilacopter sound... anyway it was annoying to say the least.
That's it helicopter sound. Thank you

Is the door seal supposed to be out like that? Cause mine is. However, I don't get a whistle sound, simply a very loud cross wind noise.

Just drove my 5th new JLU off the dealer lot yesterday. Above 55 mph it had a pronounced wind noise at the windshield top interface. Doesn't't look like FAC has a fix yet, but they still keep pushing them out the door.

My passenger door isn't like it. Plus taping fixes the whistle....so....my assumption is no.

JLUR hardtop. Driving 60+ almost sounds like when a window is 1/4 down... noise is at top of windshield. Pretty annoying
You described exactly the same thing I have.

I just drove all 3 models of the JLU Wranglers on city streets and mountain driving here in Denver.

When in the mountains at 65 mph and some cross wind, I had quite a bit of wind noise. Sounded like it was coming from the top of the windshield/hardtop seal.

The Sport S was the loudest, while the Sahara and the Rubicon were only somewhat quieter. None had the top liner installed, which I think is odd since CO temps vary from -30 to 100 deg. F during the year from the high plains to the mountains. I know, I've lived here for over 26 years.

You lucky few who are driving your own ( I'm waiting for the 2 dr ), what is your experience?
I have had serious issues with the wind noise on my JLSport. I took it to my Jeep dealer. Apparently it struck a cord with the home office, because they were on conference call. They wanted to try a new seal. The seal was ordered. Took them 5 hours to install. And the noise is still there! My dealership says they don't know what to do. I'm hearing that Jeep is aware, they have to be. Does anyone know what the fix is?
