June 2021. It wasn't quite 3% below invoice. I think it was 1 or 2%.

3% below invoice in Lake Charles is pretty good! You could drive out there with somebody, and one drive the other car and you drive the Jeep back. All done within a day.
2019 I got 5% below Invoice with Demontrond, but they are telling me MRSP + a lowballed trade in offer - so they are off the favourites list, and won't be getting my service inspections

We had heard about DeMontrond possibly offering good deals, and contacted them, but they didn't reply back (if I recall correctly).

Just a few notes for anyone planning on going the Gupton route. I did recently, and I’d give the experience a B+.

* The prices they give you, for both the Jeep and your trade, are the prices you’ll get. Never any games. Never any BS. Nothing changed throughout. Totally straightforward deal.

* They are BUSY, with dozens and dozens of Jeeps on the lot. It’s a machine. Get there early to secure your place in line. Expect to wait a while. Their customer service was polite enough, but not overly friendly. They’re not there to be your friend. It’s purely transactional, and that’s fine.

* They take a long time (around two weeks) to process paperwork. This is my only real “ding” on the process. Took too long, IMO, to get all my registration info from them. Took them a while to pay off the trade, too. They could use more staff.

So overall, B+. Where it really matters — honoring the deal — they’re great. Buy with confidence. But the customer service experience could be improved a little. I think they’ve just grown so fast that they’re having a hard time keeping up.
Sums up my experience from June 2021 perfectly.

For you way out of town types with a potential trade, did y'all drive it over to trade or did they prefer to pick it up?

I'm more curious if the trade was at today's crazy prices or if it's a lower trade as well as lower price.

I guess it will be based on whatever ever their turnaround is - might be quick/slow - although they can default to auction

I never got a ballpark price from them - 10 days still waiting - although advised they wouln't be able to get the highest offer due to their market, which is reasonable comment + if a delayed trade in they could not commit to pricing

Guy from Autonation Houston told me prices in Colorado/Tennesse should be $500 higher due to going further North

Looking like i am going with top of the end trade in Houston (same value as Carmax, and above Vroom/Givemethevin) with a 0.7% below Invoice

Gupton sent me my paperwork this week so I can pay my tax and get my tags. But they also sent me a self addressed envelope and asked me to send them a copy of my registration. What’s this for? I asked and no reply as of today

I think they keep any and all rebates (if applicable). And they need that paperwork to get them

Probably proves to FCA they actually sold the vehicle, so they get paid. (dealer holdback)

I drove my trade down from Ohio. I got $3k more than I paid for it three year’s ago
did you spent any time reviewing the market price to determine if your trade was low value, high, in the middle ? or were you given a rough figure before you drove ?

2019 4Runner. They offered me $42k unseen and I got to drive it for 10 more weeks. I drove down, gave them the keys and they still never looked at it. Carmax offered $44k but I would have been with a vehicle until my Jeep came in.

TN has a sales tax, If they do not collect sales tax on a sale and leave it up to the out of state buyer to pay, they need a copy of the registration to prove that it was registered out of state.
I live in NH (no sales tax) but bought my JL from a MA dealer thru email and text. They delivered the Jeep to me last month. We met at my town hall and they waited for me to register it so they could take a copy of the reg with them.
We bought my wife's Mazda in MA too (in person in 2016) Dealer said they had to deliver it to NH but we wanted to drive it home that day so we convinced them to allow us to send them a copy of the reg after we registered it.

If you can schedule a pickup at Gupton during the week I strongly advise doing so. I did mine on a Thursday afternoon and it was pretty quiet. Renee had one other customer that was finishing up when I arrived.

I don't mind the delay on the paperwork as they are a small dealership and are most likely able to offer the discounts that they do by running a tight ship. Lower payroll = less overhead.

They are VERY good about getting paperwork done before the customer shows up which I value. Being in and out of there in under an hour is nice, especially for those of us that have long drives back home.

completed online valuation of my Sahara on 25th November, and spoke to Anthony who advised was going to pass me onto Renee due to Forum rates
Few mails and text from Renee who was going to get me a build price, and trade in value for my Sahara
Then nothing - few subtle text as reminder, advising i appreciated she is busy and to take her time, but i heard back zip

Ordered today with Max Dodge @ Lake Charles @ 4.5% below invoice,, so lucked out i didn't have to drive 700 miles

I appreciate this was not other peoples experience but it was mine.
