new to the club. Ordered my JLU Willys 9/26/21. Got my vin after hounding the dealer for my POC. They only wanted to give me an status. I told them great it's in status D, That means you can give me my VON and my VIN now. 10 minutes I got my POC printed out with my VIN and such. Ill be watching like a hawk to make sure they don't pull the "sorry we sold your jeep" line.
The day I went to ask for and get my POC, they had a JLU Willys just like I wanted but without the electrical tow package. They asked if I just wanted to buy it and they could add the tow package there. I responded by pointing out the "SOLD" paper in the window. The sales guy pulled it out and said "don't look sold to me".
No that wasn't shady at all.
What dealership?

Retired and loving it.
I'm in Milwaukee, Toledo is only 5-1/2 hours away.
Mine left Toledo 11/3 on rail and arrived in Nashville on 11/7. Dealer said sometime it took 3 or 4 days in Nashville railyard to offload from rail and load onto a truck coming to Florence Alabama.
Don't know if that helps but it must have stopped several times along the way from Toledo to Nashville, an eleven hour trip by rail according to the dealer.

I ordered a Wrangler Unlimited Sport on August 3rd. Only options were Hydro Blue, tan seats, Hard Top roof w/tinting, limited slip differential, 2.0, automatic... very basic. It was in D1 by the end of August. The sales woman that I worked with is now out of sales, and the new sales woman that I'm working with told me a couple of weeks ago that the ship date was 11/9... today (11/10) she told me my Jeep entered painting this morning and the ship date was pushed back to (11/11)... that doesn't seem right. If it's paint this morning, doesn't it need time to cure, and then they assemble everything? Can they really ship it out tomorrow?

I've never had a vehicle ordered, so this is a new experience for me.

Assuming she was right about being painted today, do you guys have any guesses when it will be completed and then shipped? And any ballpark estimates on when I can pick it up? I'm in Milwaukee, Toledo is only 5-1/2 hours away.

I'm curious more than anything. I understand all the shortages and possible railyard delays, etc.
Mine shipped within 2 days of build completion and took a week to get to the dealer in CO.

I got a build sheet, VERY COOL! ?
Ordered 8/30

Two questions though...
The build sheet mentions "97 mph Vehicle Max Speed Calibration". It's a 3.0 EcoDiesel, does that mean it'll have a governor limiting top speed to 97?

Also, on page 8 of the build sheet it says, "D1-To-D Regress", what does this mean and is it related to the current status of my order?

I believe that does mean that it is governed at 97. I had a rental v6 charger this summer that hit its Governor at 99. R/Ts are set at 145 and SRTs are 165 or at least they used to be. You don’t want to be going 98 in a Jeep anyways.

I watched this guys review. It could easily reach 97 not that I would want to but. Entering highway at 2:45 or so was pretty impressive not sure how hard he got on the engine but it got to 75 quick 80s was no problem either.

Finally some good news! JC today said all parts are assembled and the estimated build completion date is 11/28.
How long are most people seeing for shipping times from factory to dealership? I'm on the west coast so might take a bit to get here I guess.

Edit: order was placed on 9/8

Oh yeah, I think I've watched every video on youtube with a EcoDiesel Wrangler. ? ?

I drive like an old man, usually 10 under on the highway and 5 under of local roads. Nothing quite like trying to race a brick.

Good to know, thx.

You would drive me nuts, lol... I grew up in the Chicago suburbs where the speed limit is more of a suggestion and everybody has a lead foot. I moved up to Milwaukee, and the drive much slower up here, and I can't handle it. Somebody is always doing 55 in a 70, and 45 in a 55... people always slow down to a halt if there's somebody pulled over... even if no lanes are blocked. This is going to be a huge change from me... I love small European vehicles with nimble handling.

The 97 MPH is like a governor. The engine will shut down until it drops below 97 MPH. IT SUCKS!

I've been posting a lot lately, but hey, it's crunch time, so much happening with my order.
Contacted the dealer this morning, he said my Wrangler EcoDiesel has been built and is in the Inspection stage. He's expecting it to be shipped and at the dealership within 3 weeks, so I should have it before 12/1... But we'll see.
Also, I noticed the factory build sheet lists under Optional Equipment, "Delete Floor Mats". The salesman said it's been happening a lot, a shortage of supplies. He also said it's listing it as a $150 reduction in price. Has anyone else had standard equipment dropped from their build? Did the dealership credit you the difference?

Most orders are having the floor mats deleted.
