For others who have had the issue, were you parked in a garage for the majority of the last few months? I am wondering if a botched or partial OTA update could have caused us to have this issue.
Mine broke down before this crazy pandemic so no. I was hoping it's going to fix itself like some of the issues I had (no backup cam/radio turning off).

So I brought the car back this morning, they did not even check it, just said there is no updated from FCA. I can't believe this will be broken for so long and not be fixed. I was hoping it will be fixed for our summer long trip.

Rubicon has been at the dealership for 30 days waiting on a new radio.
Day 35. Checked with dealership. Said that the radio is killing the battery. Asked them about the new radio. He said we ordered it about 2 weeks ago. Then he said those words nobody wants to hear.
Back Ordered!!!

Day 35. Checked with dealership. Said that the radio is killing the battery. Asked them about the new radio. He said we ordered it about 2 weeks ago. Then he said those words nobody wants to hear.
Back Ordered!!!
Yeah with the cost of this car, I'm surprised it's taking them months to fix. At least your dealer is trying to get you a new radio. Mine does nothing. This is the first car I own that had multiple issues. Navigation+Compass, 4x4 not engaging (dealer replaced solenoid), back door latch wont unlock (dealer fix). Everytime the dealer would say it's normal or FCA hasn't released an update and had to argue. Frankly I'm sick and tired of this.

Called the dealership about our Rubicon. No radio as of yet. Said they did not know when it will come in. Our Rubicon has been sitting in the shop parking lot for 50 days now. We screwed up buying a jeep.

Called the dealership about our Rubicon. No radio as of yet. Said they did not know when it will come in. Our Rubicon has been sitting in the shop parking lot for 50 days now. We screwed up buying a jeep.
That is not fun. I'm still driving mine w/ a bunko GPS. Everything else works. Luckily, since I'm in semi-isolation, I already know how to get to the grocery store post office.

Dealership has no idea on an ETA for a new head unit.

Can't they unhook the radio to halt the drain? At least give you the jeep back till the replacement comes in.

Having the same problem with my JL. I don't know exactly when it started but just noticed two days ago while on a drive. GPS won't lock and the compass is off. Will be scheduling an appointment with the dealership.

Really sad part is we had the exact same problem with my wife's 2018 Grand Cherokee. It took three months for the dealership to replace that radio. Hopefully this time it will be a better experience (but not holding my breath).
