I know it's not significant. More of a just f'in around post. But if we are trying to eek out min/max the whole thing, every 5hp/10tq counts.

That is true. 80 horsepower, 140 ft lb of torque from my next tune, you add 5 horsepower here, 10 torque there, next thing you know you're looking at a 500 horsepower, 600 ft lbs torque Wrangler EcoDiesel.

Probably be a lot easier at that rate to just drop in a V8 and call it a day!

A Hellephant swap starts at about $100k. That's 1,000 horsepower and 950 pound-feet of torque. I'm thinking, however, that it might impact your mileage.

shiiiiit.... just drop in an LS twin turbo and you'll reach those numbers for a fraction of that cost. you'll be doing wheel stands up the mountain!

Insert "nobody buys a wrangler for mpg's" here.

And probably have a more reliable engine too.

Except, of course, the guy that started this thread...especially if someone mentions the dreaded phrase "4xe".
Can I just say how dumb 4xe sounds? I mean really I know they mean it "Four by E" like "Four by Four" (4x4) but with electric motors but seriously I just looks like "Four X Eee" to my eyes and I can't help to think how dumb it sounds. I would never buy one just for that reason. Also the blue they use for the accenting is awful. The whole "blue for electric" thing needs to die a painful and horrible death anyway.

I gotta be honest, I’m starting to get this vibe when I’m driving around that other Jeepers specifically won’t wave at you if you’ve got blue hooks or a charge door cowl. I literally watched this happen yesterday in traffic. Had a pair of 4xe’s in front of me by 2-3 car lengths (Sahara and a Willys), at least 1 of them tried to wave at the Mojave coming the other direction but the driver straight up cold shouldered them and waved at me. :movember:
I wish I had my dash cam installed, it was a legit moment of “did I just see Jeep discrimination happen?”. I’m used to ignoring GC’s, Renegades, Compass, etc because they’re all mostly just regular traffic anyway, but this is the first time I’ve seen Wranglers/Gladiators being selective based on trim.

Jeep Wrangler JL GOODBYE EcoDiesel; HELLO FUEL EFFICIENCY!!! 8ctfyy

I never experienced it as a 4xe owner, at least not when I was modified anyway. ?‍♂ It just caught me off guard seeing it happen. I will say when I had my 4xe I noticed there were a ton of other 4xe's that didn't wave. I think it's a combination of new owners that simply don't know it's a thing and also a vast majority of 4xe's out here are either rentals or fleet vehicles.

If it's any consolation, most people in the area where I live don't jeep wave. At the same time most Wranglers where I live are stock Wranglers. Occasionally you get a guy who's put some effort and money into their Wrangler, they usually will wave. But it's the everyday, owns a Jeep because they think it's cool people who don't wave.

Realistically speaking that pretty much sums up 4xe owners. Very rarely you're going to see a 4xe owner hitting the trail on the weekends. Mostly I think it's females who think they are cute but want the electric charge, and any guys who have a 4xe only bought them because their wives talk them into it.

I don't know any self-respecting male member of society who considers themselves a man who happily drives an electric or hybrid vehicle. It's like that crazy hot matrix thing on YouTube, dudes like "I saw this chick, she was a 10 and she was like beyond cool, not crazy at all." Then the speaker at the front room says "yeah you were talking to a dude." Same thing with 4xe owners, The guy who's super manly and owns a 4xe and wears lumberjack shirts everywhere he goes, and has a big burly beard, and hits the gym all the time to stay buff... That guy's just hiding the fact that he gets manicures and pedicures, and goes home and gets out of the shower and tucks it and stares at himself the mirror and fantasizes about who he feels like he is inside and where's his wife's high heels when no one's home.

This describes a guy I work with...I caught him checking out my Rubicon the other day (lets just say the look on his face said it all) but he has to drive a 4xe because his wife said so. I just shook my head and thought "poor bastard" ?

I've actually been wanting to get a hybrid fully electric vehicle for years
Once we get a house though, I'll probably have a type 2 charger installed in the garage, and maybe in good number years, I'll look into getting a decent sized electric vehicle
Cmon man. I mean, WTAF.
