Good Bye 4xe Hello Gas

Well it was an interesting experiment but today I have turned in my 2023 WIlly 4xe lease a couple of months early and drove out with a 26 Willys ICE.
I can say the 2023 was "ok" and a fun and financial friendly way to get back into Wranglers. Had a couple of hiccups along the 33 month journey but after receiving another "your car will catch fire" recall last month after I had just done the previous one 2 months ago, that was pretty much the end of its favor in my driveway.

Picked up 4 banger and yes I may miss the additional power of the electric assist - but I'm glad to be back on straight Dino.

Whenever I see a 4xe on the road I feel badly for the driver. And a little angry/disappointed in Jeep for blowing sunshine up our as* for so long... "best selling, blah blah blah"... "20 mile range..."(are you seriously kidding me using that as a selling point?!?!). I wish it would have gone differently, and it turned into a viable concept. Could've been really cool. Congrats on your new ride. Now lift that bad boy, slap some 35's on and drive it like it's the Jeep you've always wanted. Cuz it is.

we'll see - I drove a 6 with a manual and honestly I was a bit disappointed. I was hoping in had some grunt like my old 81 cj7 with the straight 6 - but alas those days are long gone.
