Stay safe I've spent some time there myself. 91, 98, 03 then short stop in 08. Watch out for the others on the roads, even more than here. Grab up a map or two and see if Area 51 is still there. It was not far off from Kuwait City marked on the signs as that in Arabic and English.

Nuts. I heard a couple of Lamborghini Huracan STO's, and some Porsches as well. I read something that there were a bunch of collector cars as well ( RX-7 (FD), WRX STI, and an R34 Skyline I saw in the pic) But I haven't been able to verify that.
In the New York post it said “undisclosed” number of lambo’s. That just sucks. Lol

One reason why now a lot of those luxury cars are going for $100k over sticker. They need to make up that $$ lost.
I wonder how all that works with insurance. The boat that went down? That company? The shipping company that used that boat? Owners? What a cluster.

Not to further derail the thread:
The shipping manifest was published by Jalopnik. Lots of used farm equipment. 85 Lamborghinis, lots of Porsches, VW's, Audis, etc.

Wow, sure is a different take nowadays in the US compared to in ‘78 when I joined the Naval Air and my high school ‘friends’ ostracized me for it.
Back in my high school days (80s), I used to think the people who were in Jr ROTC and those who joined the military after graduation were "losers" and "too dumb" to go to college. Then I ended up joining the Air Force 2 years after graduation. Retired after 20 years and still think that was the best decision I ever made in my life.

Quick status update. Jeep was shipped on March 30th, I dropped an Apple AirTag in it and as of three days ago, it is in a port in Dubai. Hopefully he will arrive here in Kuwait soon! I have been following threads and obviously the news of back home with inflation and gas prices, and it truly sucks. While cost of living here is not cheap, with their currency being one of the strongest in the world, gas is very, I mean very affordable. Their lowest octane is 91, I've seen 91,93,95, and I think even 98 I will check again at the pump soon. I am currently driving a Tahoe until my jeep arrives. Not so long ago, the gas light came on and I went to the pump and said fill it up. When the guy is done, I look at the pump and the price is 6KD, which is the equivalent of about $20. I was floored!!!!! A Tahoe at empty, completely filled for $20, give me that any time of the week!!!! Once the Jeep arrives, I will keep folks posted of condition, how much it cost me to fill due to having to ship the vehicle with less than a 1/4 tank.

Jeep Wrangler JL Bye-Bye ? J

Hey good luck for the new adventure, I bet it will be actually awesome.

I am in Dubai, driving a 392. The model is still a seminovelty here. If you are into offroad, make sure to join. dune bashing club and/or an overloading one as per your tastes.

In all GCC countries, there's something called GCC specs ... usually consisting of more attention to the cooling, a/c , filters. All cars sold through the official dealer networks are GCC compliant
See https://www.dubicars.com/news/american-specs-vs-gcc-specs.html
