So I stopped by two dealerships on my way home from work this afternoon on a quest to obtain one of those wonderful brochures. I have never been to the first one (Metroplex Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram FIAT in Dallas near Love Field) before. The two sales guys I spoke to were pretty unknowledgeable but I didn’t harass them about their misinformation because I wanted a brochure. The one I asked first told me that Jeep doesn’t have brochures anymore and them proceeded to mumble additional reasons and ended up at they don’t have anymore. Most of the JLs that I saw out front and in the showroom were lifted and had huge tires. When I asked why I was told that that’s what everyone wants. Now, I love a bad ass lifted Jeep as much as the next red blooded all American Jeep enthusiast but it’s not what everybody wants. I also laughed out loud when I saw nitrogen for $299.00 on the window sticker. The window sticker was nicely laminated, though.

I’ve been to the second dealership that I stopped at (Frisco Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram) last weekend. I asked for the sales guy that I spoke to. He seems mostly knowledgeable. I asked to sit in a Sahara or Rubicon with leather so I could see how they felt. I genuinely wanted to know. He found one for me that was actually being picked up by a buyer right then. The buyer graciously allowed me to sit inside his brand spanking new Sahara with only six miles on the clock. It was pretty sweet. I’m going for leather. However, when I asked for a brochure I was told that they cost the dealership money so they don’t have them anymore.

So, the bottom line is that I’m still waiting for Jeep to send me a brochure. At least I wass able to decide on tan leather seats.

Shaun
You also went to 2 pretty awful dealerships. I bought my JL from the Frisco dealer and it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. They are the most trash dealership I've been to in the DFW area.

I requested a brochure from the website a few weeks ago. Someone said it’s one way to possibly get a “golden ticket “ ($500 off coupon). Just got it a couple days ago and it’s hella cool! No golden ticket though....
Same here, was fishing for the golden ticket. Anyway, brochure is really decent but was disappointed that it was geared up to the buses and not the 2 dr... JL 8-(

Thanks for the heads up. I actually wasn’t planning on buying there but they’re the closest place for me to actually see the JL in person. I’m leaning toward the dealership in north Little Rock. I’ve been reading that they are pretty good with pricing. It’s onle a bit more than a five hour drive away. Well worth the savings.

Buying my Miata 12 years ago was an awesome experience. The two other vehicles that I’ve bought since then were nightmare experiences. Im looking forward to another awesome experience.

Do you mind sharing the name of your sales person? I’ve been talking to Doug.

Thanks.

Shaun

My salesman was Michael Black, but he was fine. It was the vehicle trade in process and financing/paperwork that was a mess. They kept forgetting signatures in random places and I had to keep going back to the dealership. I had a co-signer on my previous vehicle and they needed some signatures from them to release the title on my trade in. They didn't want to fedex the paperwork, they asked me if I could drive to Houston instead. Luckily I had plans to go to Houston that weekend so it was okay, but I was shocked when they said we don't want to fedex this paperwork because it costs us money. I'm literally buying a 40k+ vehicle and you can't fedex some papers?

There was also a lot of drama with my trade in because it had significant electrical issues (dodge challenger RT) that were caused by the service department at the same dealership. They tried to lowball me based on my vehicle's service history even though all problems had been repaired and paid for.

Yes, I have that one. I was hoping to gey one like yours. The one that shows the hinges on the cover. How many pages is yours? Wondering if worth the effort to try to get one?
Thanks

Sounds like a mess. Thank you for the heads up.

I ordered from Jeep.com, it must’ve been a month ago. It came in the mail today.
It is nice. Flashy, not any information that I didn’t know.
No golden ticket, but a nice keeper. ( if my Jeep ever arrives )

Did they send the new Definitive Guide or the old one? The Definitive Guide says it on the side of the book.
Thanks

It is a Coffee Table brochure, 12x7.5”, it unfolds like a map, 7 panels. Does not say “Definitve” or “Guide” anywhere.

I also requested a brochure online and got one of these. They have also sent me $500 coupons by mail and email for most FCA vehicles but they exclude all JLs in the fine print.

I called Jeep.com today and they said they would mail me a hard copy of the Definitive Guide brochure. Now I am waiting. Still waiting on my Owners Manual that I had to order twice.
I believe they weren't ready for the increased sales and demands.
I got my Rubicon so that's most important,I can wait on the rest!
