Roll cage got installed yesterday for the final time. Started installing some interior pieces. I still need to paint, so most of the plastic won’t go in until that’s done, but I’m working on the overhead things and got the front carpet and seats in. Looking awesome.

Incredible build and attention to detail man!! I remember, a good 15+ years ago, on Jeep forums, if somebody was building a cage, there was always that one person that would chime in, saying, "not enough triangulation" lol.
This looks like you could roll it a few times and walk away, wiping off the dust.

Thanks man.

Lol. Everyone has an opinion. CAD Design is the way to go.

I’m hoping to at least be able drive it back to the trailhead.

Got the rear plastics all cut and fit in place.

I’ll have to take it back out to install the seat belts, cut reliefs for the compressor bracket in the floor door, and get the back seat in. Need to figure out the compressor harness, too, and how to get it run into well. I may run it outside the Jeep.

The amount of time it takes to fit all the plastics, run wiring, and get the interior stuff right is double that of assembling and welding the cage. It’s a lot of work.

If you pay someone to do this job, expect every bit of $5k-$6k of labor + parts/consumables.

You’re certifiable, taking on a project of this magnitude. I commend your insanity and am so damn jealous of how bad ass this thing is turning out. My wife enjoys off-roading with me but has zero interest in the work to get the rig set up (which is fine by me). I showed her your build thread photos and she was blown away, which says a lot.

When I hacked my lockers back in the day, I ran the rear wiring harness inside the frame rail on passenger side to get it to the aux wiring by the battery….

Many thanks man. I've got so many hours into this, it's unreal. I'm pretty proud of it though. It's quite the project.

I've got my airline running that way. I need to keep the harness in the Jeep, if possible. It's just a thick harness which will cause some issues with the door. The fender well feed through is right there. I may end up de-pinning each connector and creating a feed-thru on the fwd side of the well where I have the airlines coming out of. Got to be mindful of water intrusion. I'll see if I can find a bulkhead connector and just re-pin it all. I've got time to worry about that. This long weekend let me catch up on a lot of things with the Jeep.

Still.... got to paint this thing. Lol. It never f'n ends, but... the end is near.
