@chevymitchell if you ever plan on a reinforced tire carrier, I’d have them pull those tailgate hinges off and paint both separately. There isn’t any paint behind them on the tailgate.

The hinges were pulled off when I dropped it off for that reason.

Once they’re done with the panels, then I’ll bring the Jeep to them. I’ll make a swap. Should be this week or early next week.

The place painting the Jeep paints semi’s and tanker trailers. Lol. It’s the largest paint booth I’ve ever seen. They just don’t have the inside parking space for the Jeep and since it was a color change, it was easier to de-panel everything and do it in two steps.

I did look at a couple dozen shades of green. I ended up on blue because of the gold wheels. I’m in the Navy Reserve now, so the blue and gold naturally went together in my mind. That and I love Hydro Blue and Ocean Blue. The cost to switch colors with the guy I’m using is about 2/3 that of the quote I got to just paint it silver and blend the hood into the doors. Should turn out pretty nice in Laguna Blue.

That will look amazing. You can def tell it’s a little darker than Hydro. Nice choice!

Oh that’s gonna be the tits man. Looks great and easily discernible from the other Jeep blues, especially for people that know what they are looking at.

Agreed on this. It’s a 15-20 minute project getting it all apart and looks much better matching than the red IMO.
