I’ve got the right torx bit (55) and I’m using a heat gun then hammering into the paint to get it seated. Only thing I don’t have is a breaker bar. These things are not even budging and I’m applying a lot of pressure. Any ideas?

Ditch the extension and either go get a breaker bar, or a piece of pipe to slip over your ratchet handle. 12”-18” should do it.
Slow, steady pressure with some leverage should do it.

I'm guessing you don't have an impact. Mine zipped right out with an impact.

If you can find an impact wrench, try that. Based on how those look, I would start looking for a screw extractor also.

Depending on how rounded it is, you can look into R.B.R.T; Mac Tools had the patent for awhile but pretty sure it ran out and they're available on Amazon now.

Get a long 24” breaker bar. I got a ratcheting one from Home Depot or Northern Tool. Piece of cake.

It is the same issue as trying to loosen the door hinge bolts to install steps.

I believe it is the paint that seals the bolts.

I could not loosen them with an impact wrench or a ratchet.

I was able to do it (door hinge bolts) with 20" breaker bar and a torx bought from Home Depot (not the one in the tool kit provide with the Jeep).

Buy a breaker bar:

Get a big soldering iron and put the tip in the center of the torx
Let it get good and hot then try to remove them
It will loosen up any loctite

I agree.. definitely need a breaker bar. When I removed mine to install the teraflex alpha hinges I used a breaker bar and they were not too difficult.. could definitely tell without the breaker bar it would have been a different story.. breaker bar.. put pressure on the back of the breaker bar to keep it seated.. slow stead pressure to break the bolts loose.. don't jerk it cuz you don't want to damage the paint on the swing gate since the paint is connected due to them painting over the bolts.
