I’m close to selling my 2019 JLUR with 20” wheels and 35” tires and ordering a 22 JLUR. That extra weight never seemed to matter on the tailgate. I see an option for Hinge-gate reinforcement. Is it worth it? Have I just been lucky on the 2019?

I don’t think the Mopar one does much to be honest, I use a rugged ridge for my 37 inch and have been really happy with it. I know other folks that carry a 37 inch on the stock carrier and have not had any issues.

Depends on the roads (or trails) you are frequenting. On the scale from mall crawler to rock bouncer.

I went with Rusty's over the MOPAR one. It was only $200 more and well worth it IMHO. I would for sure buy it again.

I can’t find it again but it’s my understanding from reading it once that the Mopar reinforcement increases tailgate capacity from 85 to 103lbs. I’m at 98 lbs since 4/7/21 with a few hundred miles off road and 18k street miles and there’s no wrinkles in the sheet metal, rattles, or sagging for what it’s worth.

My 315s weigh 107.4 lbs each. Plus I sometimes carry another 25+ lbs of gas on my tire.

I've seen one user who had sagging with a 37 but I don't remember what wheel it was. I'd definitely go aftermarket anyways if you want quality
