Same here. When it's sunny outside I drop 30 mpg in my Porsche. :cwl:Outside temperature plays in a big factor in my mpg. My Honda Accord usually gets 40+ MPG on the highway during my daily commute. When it's cold outside I lose about 10 mpg. When the temp is below 20 degrees, I'm lucky to get 27 mpg highway where I normally get 40 mpg.
But in all seriousness, you're correct that it does impact it -- but that large of a drop may signify a larger issue with your vehicle. You shouldn't be impacted more than 3-4 mpg (at the most? like ~10%) extreme swings unless your commute is super duper short and the engine/tires aren't warming up.
