TIP of the DAY: With Gaia maps, make sure you download the maps for the area you are in before going offroad. The maps will stop working without cell signal.

Just signed up for OnX. Company gave me the following discount code after a previous promotion code didn’t work. Code is “renew30” for 30% off.

Might be better promos out there but it ended up being $22.25 for the year after taxes.

did you all ready use the free 6 months from Jeep Wave? It was a bit tricky to find it, but if you log into the jeep app, then go to jeep wave, then I think benefits? you will find the On X promo

I use OnX Offroad and OnX Hunt. It has the most trails on it, IMO. Which is exactly what I need. I usually am trying to figure out the best way to get up on a ridge, or around a mountain, and OnX is more likely to show all the little 2 tracks that wander through remote areas. And now it does Android Auto, which is nice.

Yeah, that was long gone for me. I used it when I first bought my Jeep. Then I got a deal with Gaia and swapped services…now I’m back with OnX. Apparently I don’t like to tie myself down to one service or I’m a map service whore?.

I’ve been using Gaia for several months and enjoying more every time I use it. Last couple of weeks we were exploring the Cotswolds in England and in the Nice, France/Monaco area and used it to record our tracks. Now we have a great map with linked pictures of all the small backroads we journeyed on. Love using many of the layer features as well.

Haven’t used the others. Not sure I need to experience learning curves and the associated confusion of multiple apps.

I've been happy enough with gaia, I pay for the lowest level of subscription. I've had a few minor issues with carplay. I was curious about gaia vs. onx so 6 months ago I did a google search and most people thought gaia was ahead of onx. It could be different now.
