A lot of people are shocked by that, especially since we're pretty much the Mecca for hardcore rock crawlers.

Just keep those CO plates on that stubby bumper. UT plates aren't allowed on those. :)
Screw that. I haven't had a front plate on any of my vehicles for a few decades. Technically illegal here, but oh well.

It depends.

In Colorado you need this Off Highway Vehicle permit to run several trails. In this context OHV includes Wranglers.

I wasn’t aware that Jeeps were included. Time to go get a permit!

Yep. We got stopped by a ranger at the head of Penrose Commons (Freedom?) / Independence Trail for not having one last year.

They're now included with your Mile High Jeep Club membership.

Although, the Can Am UTV is "street legal" in Utah. It has a license plate, turn signals, a horn, and a registration with no fault insurance for on highway use. Street legal for a UTV in Utah only makes it legal to drive on certain roads though. And those roads don't include Salt Lake or Utah county. You can't drive on the interstate, or other main highways such as Hwy 89. Being street legal in Utah really isn't worth the expense, because you can drive on most of the allowed roads with a non-street legal UTV anyway. I have my machine street legal because Arizona requires a vehicle to be street legal in its state of origin to be able to travel on any kind of road in Arizona, including single track dirt roads. I take my UTV to the Arizona strip a lot in the winter, and the Arizona rangers leave it alone when they see the Utah license plate.

Oddly enough, a front plate isn't required in Utah due to a weird loophole.
Front plates are only required if your vehicle has a front plate mounting bracket. So nearly all UT car dealers don't give you one. ?
