I'm about ready to give up, took it on a long drive where oil was above 190 for a long time (>40 mins), idled more, fresh fuel, not sure what more is possible and it stays stuck in FORM. Really annoying the dealers just send it back saying tough luck, this shouldn't be on the owner to fix/debug.

Brick does not override, it eventually turned off with that on it in Park which surprised me.
Interesting. I would have thought the throttle input would have made a difference.

I'll try to be more specific than in my earlier post because, in hindsight, I think it may have taken longer than my original guess of 30-35 minutes of idling. Here's what worked for me:

I was in FORM and at home fully charged.
Got in, hit E-save, drove about 30 miles on ICE, temp was mostly 193-197 virtually the whole way, arrived at destination, still in FORM, parked and let it idle.

Temp rose and stayed between 205-211 until Jeep shut down (I think it was right about 30 minutes, and that's why I thought there is some shutdown feature for lack of activity.)

Re-started Jeep immediately, hit E-save, still in FORM, let it idle, temp was still 205-211, Jeep shut down again after maybe 10-15 minutes (could have been 20 minutes). I think there may have been a chime or ding right before it shutdown.

Re-started Jeep, FORM was clear.

I was committed. I was going to idle until I ran out of gas if needed, but my wife says I'm stubborn. Hope that helps.

Also in a cold climate (north of Chicago). It's 45 degrees today and been stuck in FORM for about a week. I have it idling in my garage now and will see what happens after 20-30 min after I restart.

I’m starting to believe it’s temperature related. We hit low 60’s today, and FORM finally cleared.

I’m curious if anyone with a heated garage is having issues clearing it?

Still think it should be be manually resettable after an oil change. (If in oil refresh mode) and gas fill up accordingly. (If in fuel refresh mode)

Also would be nice to know which mode it’s in.

You're the only person I've seen post that they did an oil change and it didn't clear them out of FORM when they did the oil monitor reset procedure.

I don’t know if they followed any specific procedure. They did clear the oil life meter.
There really shouldn't be any special procedure to follow. Change oil, reset monitor.

There are two different ways to reset the oil monitor. I suppose it's possible that one of them doesn't clear out FORM, although that'd be really bizarre.

I've also done an oil change and while it did clear FORM, it was for less than a week. I was highly pissed off. Not only because I had to do one prematurely (like sentience, covered by wave) but also because it didn't solve the problem. I had to reset the oil meter again at 97%. So adding gas and changing oil didn't fix my FORM issue.

But it did, at least temporarily, exit out of FORM.

What is your normal driving like? Lately lots of short trips and remote starting of the vehicle to warm things up in very cold weather?

It varies. I run various errands around town and use electric, but I've also done weekly long trips ~60+ minutes. And yes, I do remote start.

Are you cold enough that when you remote start, the engine comes on, and then you put it into electric when you drive?

(obviously, when not in FORM)

Not being in FORM, I've actually had it both ways. This winter has been a cold one. Most days it warms up in ICE. On a slightly warmer day, say 40+, I was pleasantly surprised to go out and hear silence.

That part is to be expected... there's a temp threshold that determines the ice coming on or not when remote starting.

I imagine that if, when available, you're remote starting with the engine on and then putting in to electric to drive as soon as you can, you're doing about the worst thing possible as far as FORM is concerned. Cold starts, engine not running long, etc. You probably couldn't do anything that would put you into form faster.

I would agree with that. I usually leave it in hybrid until everything is warm, then if I'm running in the city, I'll go electric. Freeway, nah, that's ICE.
