There’s a thread here somewhere (if I find it, I’ll come back and link it - right here) where some people have been able to adjust the panels somehow to get them to quiet down and lined up.

I need to do this myself as mine rattle around a fair bit.

Lol the freedom panels will always make noise. Even if you solve it for a few weeks, the creaking will come back in time. Not really anything you can do about it long-term. I find mine become noisy after it rains. Typically taking the panels off and wiping the rubber seal will remove said noise until the next humidity event.

I found the thread and linked it in my previous post. You might give this a try as it seems some people have success with a lot of the common issues with the freedom panels by adjusting them.

Have you checked the windshield bolts? I have found that my freedom panels seem to make more noise if I didn't get all of the bolts tight when I put the windshield back in place. I just use the provided wrench and get them tight with that (just as tight as I get it without bearing down on it, don't try to over torque them), seems to be enough for me. Keep in mind it's a vehicle with a removable top, doors, and windshield. It's going to make noises other vehicles don't make. I'd have to ride in it to know if what you are experiencing is excessive or not.

If it squeaks it sounds like the problem I had on mine and the solution I used to fix it. Here is the thread I posted in with solution.

In the summer my top is off and on weekly due to Chicago style weather. Often times I'll have to retorque the 8 bolts a little to get rid of some squeeks.

Check the windshield bolts. I noticed on every JL I have owned that they are loose. You can use the tool kit to tighten them. They are along the top side of the windshield, I think there are 4 or 6 of them.

Try removing completely then reinstall if this has not been tried already.
