One of the latches is loose and spins freely instead of only turning 1/4 of the way. The bolt is already tightened so I’m guessing I’d have to replace the latch itself?

Any updates? I just picked up my JL yesterday and noticed one latch not only loose but the head of the bolt is stripped out and seems cross threaded. I got it backed off a bit then when I tried to tighten it back up I could hear the fiberglass cracking…

Honeslty, I forgot about it being loose haha. Once it's latched on, it stays in place so I'm not too worried about it. I likely will replace the lever in the spring time when I swap out to the soft top. Quadratec has the replacement levers:

As for the screw:

You probably could replace both and it should be good as new.

Thank you for the heads up and the links. I am afraid to back the bolt out, if it’s cross threaded from the factory I’d like the dealer to be the ones to back it out. But the bolt is damaged, the heads stripped so I’ll need a new one for sure.
