How long before we get knock off Jeep Wrangler body replacements. This level of production looks pretty good.

Doesn't look bad to me. Body jigs, nice spot welder and definitelysome skills. I wish we had all their tools when we were working on classic Mini Cooper body part replacements.
All we had were rotisseries, hammers and might welders.
Talk about eye balling assembly parts, every aftermarket panel was different and you needed to custom fit everything. Even factory parts were off.

Looks to me they're doing pretty good.

That doesn't look like any FJ I've ever seen. It looks like it's been significantly stretched, then they got rid of the cool little doors?

:LOL::LOL::LOL:

While modern production lines lean heavily on precision robotics, the "eyeballing" you see in some manual fabrication shops often relies on specialized, high level skills that robots can't easily replicate for custom or low volume work.
Even top-tier manufacturers like Ford and Hyundai still rely on humans for final assembly and complex mechanical tasks where, hand feel is critical for quality control. In these environments, robots handle the heavy, repetitive, rattle prone structural welding, while humans provide the final touch and inspection.

I would be leary after watching a crash test video of a Chinese knockoff of a Chevy. The vehicles looked identical. They took a drivers door off the Chevy and put it on the knockoff. Perfect fit.

Crash tests of the knockoff failed in every metric… BADLY!

Inferior materials.

This is valid, I have concerns how these builds would hold up on Jeep trails in Moab. Brings another term of no littering on trails :facepalm::fingerscrossed::angry:

I think it is the FJ45 they are building, not the FJ40. When I bought my FJ40 there was an FJ45 at the dealership. It was in for repairs and from what I remember it was owned by a retired AF officer that had it shipped from Japan. jeez, that was a long time ago.
