Before I discovered Threedom, I found AJT. Had one on a Toyota so tried their Jeep FOB. Works well. My only complaint is the battery replacement process is a pain in the neck.

I have a few aftermarket fobs...(I think I have 8) both Threedom and AJT Designs..

Both fob offerings are terrific...

My daily fob / my favorite is my AJT Designs fob. I just like the weight and feel of the AJT Designs fob.. especially the button press feel that comes with the soft pad option for the AJT Designs fob..

Yes, battery insertion on the AJT Designs fob is a tad challenging but once you have done it a few times it is not bad at all.. at least for me anyway..

Yes, I like the AJT quite a bit. Looks very good as well. My other issue was, I kept accidentally pushing the Panic button. It’s been superglued now so it’s basically useless. It’s better that than paying the repercussions from waking up the wife and kids in the wee hours of the morning.

The panic button on the AJT Designs fob is not the one you are talking about are you? I have no issues with the AJT Designs fob.. Buttons are not overly sensitive..

Here is a better way then to use super glue... a reversible way..

Ha ha, yes, the AJT panic button is the one I glued. 🤣 I wish I would have run across your post first! Although, I think it was in 2021 or so when I did this…

I bought the Gibson Leather Works holsters for both of my Jeeps 5 years ago and never really think about the size of the fobs. My 4 door has the proximity locks so I never really have to touch the fob and the 2 door I just have to press the lock/unlock button at my waist. These holsters have been very nice to have.

Today I was in contact with Adam Truckey the guy that owns AJT Designs.. He has a new model fob offering for the JL and JT.

The new version fob is Injection Fob IF029 (V2 Wrangler JL / Gladiator JT) Buttons on it on way different...

Link to new fob offering:
https://www.ajtdesign-llc.com/collections/if029-v2-wrangler-jl-gladiator-jt

He also mentioned a couple of hints that may just make your battery placement in your fob a tad easier next time. Shows you how adjust the battery retainer spring and also tells you to avoid a certain shape battery...

At the bottom of the page I link to, see the notes there... He / Adam also did a new video that can be found there also.

I have one of the new model, AJT Design fobs on the way to me. Once I get it, I will set it up and post a couple of pics of it in this thread..

Ohhh, thanks for the heads up. I like the design. Is the panic button recessed a bit more than the previous version? Can’t tell from the pictures. Eagerly will wait for your review. 😊

Received the AJT Designs V2 Fob and set it up. I like it and it is going to be my daily use fob..

Hard buttons have a real nice feel to them and are very easy to see. The panic button does seem to be set in a tad bit more then on the V1 fob.

To me it would be difficult to accidentally press the panic button. Also.... Fob comes with a black panic button if you do not want a red panic button.

That is a Peeblebee Tracker Tag on the key ring..

Isn't it basically the same height as OEM, but a little narrower?

Asking seriously, with intent on neither disparaging AJT nor Threedom, nor praising them....

What about a Threedom JL fob, which I consider an advacement to the factory or AJT JL fob, (and that I use and love: the Threedom that is) that came out after both, has proved lacking, if anything, such that the (new) AJT fob demonstrates an advantage in that area?

.....I mean an owner may just prefer a larger fob to the Threedom but smaller than the OEM one, but aside from that, is there something about the new AJT fob like "less likelihood of pressing the Panic button" that gives it an advantage in some aspect of use over a Threedom one?

TIA
