Curtis, I see what you did there. Brilliant! Here’s the thing though. I have a Rubican, @Roky has a Rubican’t. ? Seriously, we both have JLURs with comparable lifts. Our flex is pretty even, I think. Also, all joking aside, Roky is an OUTSTANDING driver; I’m just better. ? We tease each other with love and respect, relentlessly.

I hope I'm putting this in the right section. I have been in SW FL now (Naples), for 1.5 years. I'm amazed how slow the business are here to react here when trying to get anything done (Home services especially). About 3.5 weeks ago I started calling local shops for my build. There's not a lot of Jeep shops around me. I talked to two of them, and have yet to receive any estimates (This this is 2.5 weeks before Ian).

I did find Karnage Motorsports down near Miami and called them, but they don't do Metal cloak. Can anyone recommend a knowledgeable Jeep shop in Southwest Florida please?

Finally got around to speaking with Ron at Red Scorpion Fabworks. Looks like gears and axle reinforcement are in my future. Artec Apex truss kits should be here this week then just waiting on the Spicer 4.88s to arrive. That ape on the bicycle is how I feel driving my JL loaded down lately lol.

Sorry Mike, I’m in SW FL but up in Sarasota County. I can recommend a couple of shops here, but it‘s about a two hour drive.

Honestly at this point, for a 25k+ build, I'm willing to make that drive to have it properly set up. Please give me your recommendations so I can call them. Thanks ?

If you’re okay with driving to miami, try Danny with trailhuntersmiami. Really knowledgeable and just hosted a beginners rock crawler event at lazy springs. He’s got a built yj buggy that’s pretty gnarly too.

I have calle 4 local jeep shops, not one has sent me an estimate on a 25k build, and I refuse to chase a shop down to give them money. I'm ready to make the 4 day journey back to Idaho to have the last shop do this build!

I haven’t taken my jeep to him as I do the work myself but I’m planning on bringing it to him when i’m ready to do gears and lockers.

But he’s very good about replying to my texts asking questions.
