I hope everyone that hit the trails today had a good time! Super envious. We ended up losing our championship game this evening, super bummed. I would love to, but I am taking my ham test that morning….an hour in the opposite direction. But I should be free most non holiday weekends after that.

Well, we won our game today. So I will not be able to make it 😭 Hit me up if anyone is going there or anywhere else in the future, I would love to go.

Were they the AEV tuned 5100s? I know they are supposed to be softer, supposedly. And yeah, I have the Daystar kit that has the spacers, bump stops, shock extensions, and longer LCAs. I figured the caster wouldn’t be too far off leaving those LCAs on.

That is what I assumed from everything I have read. Although, I loved my first car (76 Impala) I wouldn’t want that ride in my Jeep 😂. I just hate having parts and not being able to turn a wrench 😭

I actually haven’t been there since 2013-ish. I sold my JK around that time. I then got my JL in 2018, but haven’t ever made it up there. I am interested to see how much it has changed since I have been. It was my favorite back then, but just haven’t had the time…or people to go with.

Thanks for all the replies. I will probably go with the Midland MXT275...just not sure what I want to do about the antenna. I already have that CoolTech kit for my CB radio, and love it. I don't want to get rid of the CB as I still use it for highway traffic….even though that is dying off too...

That’s just like my CB. The only thing I don’t like is that most GMRS antennas I have seen have been ran to the drivers side cowl area. Seems to be a bad area to me…I am not sure how it compares to a CB antenna.

do you know if there would be any issues having a CB ran in the same spot as GMRS? I have a Cobra 75 mounted behind the glove box and would like to have the GMRS similar.
