fell into air vent

where would an air freshener that fell in here end up? it fell through the vent and now i can’t figure out how to get it out. any advice on how to follow the duct to where it would have fallen to would be much appreciated

Close all your other vents and remove the closer divert. Turn on the fan full. It might blow it out. Worth a try?

get a large-ish zip tie and put a wad of duct tape on the end. fish that down the hole and you should be able to get it out.

Here's a view of the system from my service manual. To gain access, it looks like you have to remove the dash. I was going to suggest one of those mechanical finger grasping tools. But if you can't see it, forget about it.

Hook up a shop vac and close all but 1 vent. It might pull it back up to where you can get to it
