Air conditioning fan is loud!!

I'm nearly deaf thanks to the US Army, but mine is just loud enough to keep my rag top Sahara JLU nice and cool in the North Carolina heat and humidity. I'm happy with mine it blows hard enough to keep me cool even with the top down.

The Re-circulation is not stringent. There will always be some air "pass through" to address the fumes issue you mentioned. All the re-circulation mode does is take a percentage of in-cabin air mixed with outside air, process the air for heat/cold, and re-enter it to the cabin. I do not know the percent ratios. The last sealed cabin Jeep I ever had was a CJ-8.

I've had people stare at me like I winding out 1st gear when going through the neighborhood.

I had to make a sign I hang out the window that says "It's just the crappy cooling fan"
