I finalized my lifetime warranty with Tom yesterday - simple transaction with great follow up. I would NOT hesitate to use him and save money vs. buying the exact same thing from the dealer where you purchased. My dealer originally wanted something like 3,600 for the warranty and after i said no thanks the price went down to 2900 for lifetime $100 ded. I said no thanks still. Saved a few bucks with Tom and honestly it was like 20 minutes of my time.

We tend to keep cars well over 100k and 15 years and my JLUR is fully loaded and for the additional 5% for the warranty it made sense for me - YMMV. I was also a bit worried about the upcoming increase in price. You get a few extra perks with the lifetime during the actual warranty but not much. It's more for the later miles / years. I wished it was transferable but in California they don't offer that option. There is a provision for refunding the unused portion but I also think that might be a California requirement as someone else stated that there's no refund on lifetime.

Were you able to review the contract (fine print) before purchasing?

Yes, they send you a sample before you get the real one. All part of the 'quoting' process.

Who is saying the Maxcare is not refundable? I had one on my 2015 JKU and I got a refund when I traded her in. I'm pretty sure it's refundable as event he Mopar site states it is. Usually dealers will say it's not in addition to saying the only time you can buy it is when you purchase the vehicle...both are not true unless its a third party warranty the dealer is selling.

I have a copy of my life time mopar max care contract and for this specific policy, the lifetime contact is not transferable and ends with the sale of the vehicle or the death of the original purchaser. There are other extended mopar warranties which I've heard are transferable.

"This plan offers mechanical coverage as specified to the named purchaser or retail lessee of the vehicle only, for the lifetime of that purchaser or retail lessee. The Plan ends upon the death of that purchaser or retail lessee or upon the transfer or sale of the vehicle."

Interesting. I’ll have to take a look at mine. I did get a refund on my last one though. Not sure why that one would be refundable and this one is not. Even the mopar site says it’s refundable.

It's because there is a difference between refundable and transferable
Lifetime is not transferable

I was damn near convinced I was gonna get the lifetime warranty, but talked myself out of it and elected to go 8 yr 125K with $100 deductible for $2.1K through Tom. Just couldn’t get past the whole non refundable part of it that’s attached to the lifetime warranty. At least the 8 year is refundable and or transferable. I can always drop a crate Hemi in there at that time, if I’m still interested in keeping the Jeep, and that’ll give me another 3 years of coverage, at least on the engine, as well as a whole new driving experience.
Why not get the lifetime for $500 more??? That is only an extra $62.50 per year over those 8 years.

^^same question here. I see you say it’s not refundable but it is. It’s only not transferable, but you can get a refund if you decide to modify parts that void the warranty.

Here’s a copy of my maxcare lifetime contract. Says it’s refundable unless I’m reading wrong.

Wow... It appears that you are correct. Refundable up to the 7 year and 100k mile point. And then $25 refund after that.

You just saved me from making a mistake it looks like. I appreciate you sharing. Let me get with Tom

I placed my order with Dennis Dillon. They offered a free lifetime powertrain warranty. Does anybody have details on the warranty they are offering? They won't send me any paperwork regarding it.

What is the best price with a low deductible that you guys have found. Is there any way to post a price and deductible to the 1st post

For the Dennis Dillon warranty it’s probably a dealer specific warrant where it’s only good at that dealer. Plus keep in mind it’s a powertain only warranty, so that doesn’t include anything except for the engine and transmission. I would ask them for a list of what’s covered.

Can’t remember which post it is, but the cheapest I saw here was $2665 for the $100 deductible version. $200 deductible wasn’t worth the savings and $0 deductible was too costly.

And someone posted saying the price goes up on 3 Apr by about $200
