Falcon / teraflex makes it

Just call teraflex and order the 1-3/8 size version of the nexus tierod clamp.

Just give them the part number for the 1-5/8 clamp and ask them for the smaller one.

I think the JL tie rod is 1-1/2" O.D, at least according to Synergy. I just measured mine and it's somewhere between 1.5 and 1.6" so guessing it is the 1-1/2 size... ???

You're probably right I was just going off the stock jk tierod size they have listed for the nexus on their website.

If you need the clamp for the stock jl tierod. Just let teraflex know and they hopefully will help.

I live in Utah so I just go to their headquarters in person for help. Over the phone might be less then helpful.

You need to use the Synergy bolt or MetalCloak bracket for the axle side (near the passenger side wheel) mount. This puts it parallel with the track bar mounting bolt. Then use the clamp mount on the tie rod side. This essentially flips which side is mounted to the tierod and which side is mounted to the axle, but it works the same way regardless.

I'd recommend the new Fox TS stabilizer instead of the Falcon unit due to the fact it will bolt right on with the flip with the hardware thats included. The stock JL tie rod is 1.62" OD so you need Fox part # FOX-985-02-122 for the 1.625 clamp (its a little big but works) and part # FOX-985-02-128 if you are running the Synergy JL Tie Rod

Good info, PIG, thanks for sharing.. In my case I already have the Falcon one so will continue on this path. Plus I like the adjustability. So you're saying the stock tie rod is actually 1.62"? That is close to what I measured last night, esp. factoring in my margin of error.. So that is 1-5/8" stock which sounds more like the modified heavy duty Synergy tie rod which is 1-5/8". Are you sure about this?

I sent a msg to TeraFlex asking about this, will let y'all know when I hear back. I may have to call them though..

It seems Fox thinks this is 1-5/8", so I called TeraFlex and they agreed it's a 1-5/8". So they are sending me the one mentioned above, 99-01-01-158. $21.99 free shipping!

I got the MetaCloak track bar mount bracket for $57 shipped (ouch! but Synergy doesn't sell just the bolt/mount, only the whole kit) so hopefully soon I will be able to see how this all works out!

Isn't that a JK stabilizer though? If they're different part numbers I would assume there are some differences between a JK unit and a JL one.

I have installed the full SS yeti system minus their track bar.

I did the to mount draglink so everything is almost parallel. Drives like a dream. I did lose up travel with the top mount and have to run 4 inches of bump stop. I don't mind for now because I mostly wheel slow and rock crawl rather then high-speed offloading.

I did call SS they would sell me just the bottom mount end if I wanted to change in the future but that would also force me to go with just the stabilizer mount and not the track bar relocation bracket.

This is how it looks now

I can attest to the instructions for removing the bracket from the shock. I put it in a vice with the bolt facing outwards (towards me) as this was the only way it would fit given the shape of the JL bracket. I then heated up the bolt with a torch for about 2 minutes, and then pulled really hard with a #8 allen wrench. Just when I thought it was not going to budge, it broke free. Then it came right off with ease. I don't know if it would have broken free w/out the heat and tbh I didn't see any loctite in the threads, but who knows. The bolt is on a 360 swivel joint built into the shock. There is also a large black rubber gasket on the bolt between the bracket on the shock side. Don't lose that when you are removing the bolt finally. Also it may be easiest to remove the bolt whilst still in the vice....

1 5/8" isn't really correct either... Nobody is making the exact size clamp needed for a stock JL Tie Rod (1.62")

Synergy DOES sell just the stud mount, here is the link

Well, that what Fox calls it out as but that just because they have a separate SKU for the JL that bolts into the factory position. For some reason they aren't savvy enough to realize that a part they already make will work (well not perfectly) on a JL if you want to flip. Remember, the issue is having the right clamp size (1.62") Fox only makes the clamp in 1 3/8", 1 1.2", and 1 5/8"

Just a heads up, we (Synergy MFG) are working on our high steer JL set up still and have got it to work with 2.5" of bump stop extension and are trying to make a few more tweaks to get it to work with just a 2.0" extension spacer, stay tuned!

Ahh, well, hopefully it's close enough to fit snugly.

I see the Synergy part, but can't find it for sale anywhere. Anyways I already got the MetalCloak coming and one thing I like is the MC bracket keeps the same orientation as the OEM tie rod bracket, which while this might not be necessary given how we're remounting it, the 3-way select knob still faces the right way once installed, which I would prefer..
