Hey all,

Just wondering if anyone has been able to figure out a way to relocate the Nexus steering stabilizer to get up and out of the way from sitting so low. I know there are a few companies like metalcloak that have relocation kits for steering stabilizers that utilize the factory mounts, but with the Falcon they don't seem to be compatible. Was hoping teraflex would have something out before EJS but we're getting close with exactly 2 months till we're all out there beating our Jeeps up.

Yeah, can’t believe somethings not out yet for that. Do you still have the Mopar lift on your rig, if so do you still have the isolators that came with kit. I just ordered the rk isolators, I had one collapse on me wheeling this weekend.
I do, I installed the rancho ones around Christmas time. No complaints.

RubiRob,

To mount the falcon nexus, you will still need a relocation bracket and a new mounting clamp. I went over to Teraflex the other day and they gave me instructions on how to change the mounting bracket to a clamp. This is just instructions for replacing a clamp but you can remove the bracket the same.

Part number 99-01-01-158
This is for a 1 5/8 tie rod. I think they also have a smaller one. $22 for the part.

I'm using this with a steer smarts steering system.

Thank you very much, I'll look into that when I get to a computer in the morning!

Is that Falcon's part number? Would the Synergy relocation bracket work as long as I change it from a clamp to a bracket? https://www.synergymfg.com/synergy-jeep-jl-steering-stabilizer-relocation-kit.html

I'm going with the axel side metalcloak relocation bracket because I've also got their fad armor. Then on the tie rod I went with the teraflex. I really don't think it matters all that much which you choose. They all do the same thing. The only tough part is getting that OEM bracket off the falcon 2.1/2.2. Once that's done it's an easy peasy job.

I called Falcon and they said that if we change the bracket the warranty is void and the valving is different on the JK vs JL version. Falcon did say you could order a JL version and have them change the bracket for ~$75 and keep warranty. I'm not too excited about adding another $75 onto an already expensive stabilizer that I may vary well not need in the first place. I also don't want to loose warranty......ughhhhh.....I might just limp by for a couple months until Falcon comes out with the 2.2 that has a 1-5/8" clamp on it. Supposedly it is in the works.

Their story changes by the second. One person you talk to says it not possible, another says lots of people are doing it. Now they are making the no warranty claim. Honestly, they just want you to buy their version of the bracket swap. And come on $75? For them to do what? Heat an Allen nut and swap out the bracket?

When they officially make the change to a tie rod option on the JL2.1/2.2 all that will be different is where they put the sticker. The shock its self will be exactly the same. So wait if you want, that's fine. It took me longer to get the shock out of the box and setup in a voice to heat that bolt then it did to actually changes the bracket.

The few minutes to change bracket and the $22 is nothing, but I don't think I want to void the warranty. Then again how often have I ever relied on warranties outside of maybe vehicles......

Glad I found this thread...
Who makes this part, and how can I order it? I can't seem to find it.. I need the OEM tie bar version, the smaller one.
Then I guess the MetalCloak axle-side relocation bracket (track bar mounted), right?

Thanks!!!
