Hi all,
I am looking for opinions for the JL community. I had the dreaded FAD issues on my 2021 Jeep JLU Wrangler. I've done a lot of research and am wondering if anyone has done a solution that im thinking of.
The Solution:
1) replace the dana spicer with the wide dana spicer thereby locking both front axles together.
2) cut off the forks on the FAD and reattach the FAD as per norm. thereby making the FAD function as normal but without the forks to move the spicer back in forth
The Reasoning:
1) this would limit the need for a tazer to be install and reprograming of your vehicle because your fad will still be install and appear functioning as normal but without the forks to actually be moving the little spicer back-forth
2) save some cost. will only require the dana spicer kit as seen here --> https://www.justjeeps.com/dana-spic...T_UmxXZuh3yKqr71RV8IYkyV57UzwDQRoCSnoQAvD_BwE
3) tazers themselves have been problematic based on others comments --> just google tazer issues and you get a large number of complaints
The Question:
1) Has anyone done these? Anyone suspect any potential issues?
Im all ears.
Also, im a new member so apologizes if this has been identified in an earlier post. I love my jeep and love spending quality road trips with my family with it.
Cheers.
