That nut looks like it's very far down the threaded area of the shank. If the nut is still "tight", it's likely bottomed out on the thread runout, and the taper of the shank was not tight in the tapered bore. Check to see if you just ran out of thread when you disassemble it. There really should be a steel washer between a nut and an aluminum component. Not saying OE had a washer, but they should have. And in your case, the installer should have seen how far down the shank the nut was going and put in a thick washer to keep the nut from bottoming.
The thing is it didn’t bottom out. Somehow I bent the ball joint as you can see in my previous post. The passenger side bolt is about the same and no issues. I could only use the first hole for the cotterpin on both bottom ones after torquing them to the 35 ft lbs. I honestly don’t know how this all happened. There is some wiggle on the bottom knuckle hole. Don’t got elongated as well. I’m just putting a new knuckle and two new ball joints in on that side. Just have to pay attention and make sure everything is solid. I’ve done all the install, and I could’ve swore everything was perfect last time. Obviously not, but I thought it was.

I appreciate it. I was able to get it covered under warranty. So the new one is free. If I had the cash I would just be putting Reid’s in it right now.
No worries at all. I usually have a set or two laying around.

u thought that was just the Mojave. which are available from Mopar for about $500 each.

if you can get them replaced under warranty go for it. it will happen again though at some point.
otherwise go Reid/Mopar.

@SadRobot just had Reids and dynatrac installed. then the shop informed her that now she needs something else for the Reids. something to do with steering? he said you dont need it with the Mopars.
Here are the part numbers if needed, much better option unless you decide to go with a high steer kit like that from Rock Jock,
