If you are tall and you are rear ended, it would be a better to deal with an airbag designed to hit a shorter person, than to strike the Sports bar with your head. This isn't a roomy thing. Dropping the seat is a safety issue for those of us around 6'7"
Aot of the sport bar is plastic and sticks out, it would be interesting to see how much room could be gained with a tighter design. in some spots an inch or half inch could really help.

I'm going to have a local shop to make new drop brackets. Not so much for me, I worry about my wife. I'll just keep wearing my helmet.

What are they charging you to fabricate that I’m waiting for the 2 companies to come out with seat extension but nothing yet

I just got a price of $800 to drop it 1 1/2” and move the seat back 3” I think it’s high but they guaranteed safety and it won’t look shitty lol

I am in central illinois. I wonder if we could get the price down if we could get 5 or so people to buy. We could even ship them to people if we could the price down enough. Thoughts?

For real. I was shocked by how little leg room there actually is. I’m not overly tall at only 6’, but could definitely use another inch or two to really feel comfortable. Height wise I’m fine, with at least two inches between my head and the roll bar. I just traded in my 6-speed manual Tacoma and I barely kept the seat halfway back in that.

Local shop wants to charge me $800 to do it I’m 6’ 2” and I definitely need a couple more inches.

Hello everyone. I know I'm a bit late to the party but my Jeep wasn't orderable until yesterday.

I'm way too tall for my new Jeep but I'm not going to let a little problem like that stop me. I could use both the drop as well as the additional legroom and would be interested in possibly doing a group order with a fabricator if something doesn't release before my Jeep delivers.

Not dropping the seat for me is definitely a safety issue. I really don't want to find out exactly how hard I can hit my head on the sports bar. Plus getting my head closer to where the average person's head would be normally I think would also be an improvement and how I will interact with the airbags in a wors case scenario.

I'd like to be able to move my seat back even 1". 2" would be gravy. I run with my headrest at the highest setting. That keeps my head off the sound bar and is very comfortable. If I could get the additional 2" rearward, I could recline the seat slightly more, as well. I'm pretty comfortable now, but would like another inch between my right knee and the dash.

I just purchased a 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL Sahara Unlimited today and am also looking for a way to customize the seat, but I’d like to customize the passenger seat instead of driver seat. I reached out to a couple local fabrication shops to see if they can do it as well as the cost. My boyfriend is 6’2” and mostly torso, so he hits his head on the sound bar on the passenger side (but not the driver side).
