Ohh no, you must be wrong. Heck, Ca recently approved 15% alcohol “So we can enjoy it’s benefits” .
How many grades are stations set up for ?
I’m sure new tanks, pipes, and pumps will be installed so it will be “in addition too” , not “instead of” the now 10%.
The only benefit is more tax money for the state due to you having to buy more fuel to go the same distance.

Minnesota ended up having their 91 octane fuel ethanol free because of all the problems associated with boat engines. I wonder if a lot of vehicles in California will have the same problems.

Are you kidding ? Pure gas here 😂. Seriously, I think there’s a still a chance at marina’s. A member informed me of a place about 30 mi north that has 101 unleaded at the pump at a high price. Dunno, I might fill some Jerry cans and mix one per tank if 15% becomes the norm, as is likely. Heck, the CFN I use isn’t even set up for 3 grades, just reg & prem …., 15% is coming…… So We Can Enjoy it’s Benefits.

Thanks! So, one could, replace the flywheel in a post 2021 JL and use a good clutch pressure plate and not have overheating? I still cant get my head around a 4500lb vehicle overheating a clutch driving in town. Can the temperature sensor be deleted?
In theory, yes, but as @yokramer hinted at, many forum members have replaced the stock clutch with an aftermarket clutch that is an improvement over the stock clutch, but the aftermarket clutches tend to fail after about 10k miles.

Here is the thread with additional info on the aftermarket clutches and their failures: https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/fo...1st-reverse-compilation-thread.141518/page-64

No one seems to know why the clutches are failing. If someone can figure it out, then maybe we can have a decent clutch brought to market.

ESS was never a mandate so any changes happening arent going to likely bring auto makers to change past vehicles over it.
Correct - what the EPA did during the Obama administration was to factor idle time into the EPA's test cycle for city MPG, better reflecting real world conditions. This allowed city MPG estimates to increase by 3-10% depending on the vehicle. It was a low cost way to decrease emissions so most manufacturers added the feature.
